Workshop held on Moral Wellbeing

ALIGARH : The College of Nursing, Aligarh Muslim University organized a Workshop on “Moral Wellbeing” to inculcate morality in the life of students and sensitize them towards respecting people with honour, respect and dignity.

In her address, the chief guest, Prof Naima Khatoon, Principal, Women’s College urged the participants to engage themselves in reading masterpieces of world literature, with a special focus on biographical works of noted personalities, as this helps a person build a personality on strong moral foundations.

The Dean, Faculty of Medicine and Principal and CMS, JNMCH, Prof. Veena Maheshwari and the Principal, AMU Girls’ School Mrs. Amna Malik were the guests of honour.

The speaker, Mrs. Bhawna Kaushik addressed various issues that mar the personality of an individual, including issues like anger, management strategies, depression, drug and mobile phone addiction, dignity and respect deficit, dowry, failures, etc.

Earlier, welcoming the guests, Prof. Farha Azmi, Principal, College of Nursing, highlighted different types of mental and social issues and conducted a pledge for the students not to be involved in dowry or other evil social practices and to rise against them when needed.

In his concluding remarks, the guest of honour, Prof. Rafiuddin, Dean Students’ Welfare, emphasized the need to be dynamic and devoted towards one’s profession and emphasized the importance of optimism in the life of nursing students.

Mrs Safeena Beevi SS extended a vote of thanks.

Ms Shivani Masih, Ms Deepti Minj, Mr Misbah Moin and Mr Mohammad Furqaan played a key role in organizing the workshop.
