The 21-year-old comes from a humble background in Odisha. His father used to repair bicycles while his mother travelled from village to village selling bangles.

Initially, he used to speak English slowly, but later on developed a strong interest in learning the language after watching movies. He desired to speak it faster and in a Western accent.

Despite a lack of and failing his Class 12 examination, Dhiraj learnt American-accented English by watching a plethora of videos. Eventually, he started making reels just for fun.

When he began making reels to teach others, he faced a lot of trolls and negative comments on social media. However, he remained determined.

Today, his unique approach, which involves using snippets from web series and TV shows to make learning engaging and fun, has attracted a lot of followers. Winning over the trollers, he gained an impressive one million followers on Instagram in just 44 days.

Despite lacking resources, Dhiraj has risen out of obscurity.
