Apala Mishra, a famous IFS officer, recently announced her engagement to Abhishek Bakolia, an IFS officer. Apala, a 2021 batch IFS officer, posted this exciting new chapter in her life with Abhishek, who belongs to the 2022 batch, through a heartwarming Instagram post.

Who is Abhishek Bakolia?​


Abhishek Bakolia, originally from Kotkapura in Punjab’s Faridkot district, graduated in Computer Science from Punjab Engineering College, Chandigarh. During an internship with J.P. Morgan, he discovered his passion for the Indian Foreign Service (IFS). In March 2020, he began his journey to prepare for the UPSC Civil Services Examination, and in 2021, he cleared the exam on his first attempt.

Among the top 10 civil services aspirants in 2020, Apala achieved the highest score In the personality test, with 215 out of 275. She obtained 816 marks in the written examination. Overall, she scored 1031 marks. She used to study for 7-8 hours a day.
