US Consulates in India are preparing for a surge in student visa applications this year, with more than 75,000 appointments available in June and July. Brendan Mullarkey, the Consul General at the US Embassy in New Delhi, stated that additional appointments will be opened up in the coming weeks and that the newly opened US Consulate in Hyderabad will help to ease the pressure of visa issuance.
