WBJEE 2025 Eligibility Criteria is the first thing candidates should know before applying for WBJEE 2024. West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination is a state level Aptitude test for the candidates seeking admission in UG courses in fields of Engineering, Pharmacy, Architecture, etc.

WBJEE 2025 Eligibility Criteria


Here, we have provided category wise Eligibility Criteria for the candidates applying for Application Form:

  • Nationality: Applying candidate must be a citizen of India.
  • Age Criterion: Candidate applying for admission must not be less than 17 years as on 31/12/2025. He/she should have been born on or before 31/12/2008. There is no upper age limit. However, in case of admission into Marine Engineering programme, the upper age of the candidate must be 25 years as on 31/12/2025.
  • Appearing Candidates: Candidates appearing in the last year of their qualifying exam will also be eligible to apply.

Engineering Programmes:​

  • Qualifying Exam: Candidate must have passed his/ her 10+2 level exams or its equivalent from a Board recognised by concerned Central or State Government.
  • Qualifying subjects: Applying candidate should be passed in the 10+2 level with Mathematics and Physics as compulsory subjects with Biotechnology/ Chemistry/ Computer Science/ Biology/ Computer application as any one of the optional subject.
  • Qualifying Marks: Candidate in his/ her 10+2 level should have obtained minimum aggregate of 45% marks (40% for reserved candidates). Also candidate must be passed in English subject with 30% marks.

Pharmacy Programmes:​

  • Qualifying Exam: Candidate must have passed his/her 10+2 level exams or its equivalent from a Board recognised by concerned Central or State Government.
  • Qualifying subjects: Candidate applying for admission into pharmacy programmes should be passed in the 10+2 level with Chemistry and Physics as compulsory subjects with Biotechnology/ Mathematics/ Computer Science/ Biology/ Computer application as any one of the optional subject.
  • Qualifying Marks: Candidate in his/her 10+2 level must have obtained minimum aggregate of 45% marks (40% for reserved candidates).
  • Candidate in 10+2 level must be passed in English subject with 30% marks.

Important Details Regarding Eligibility


Candidates have to put all authentic details and details appear in Mark sheet will consider as authentic. Conducting authority will ask to the candidates to submit their mark sheet at the time of counselling, so candidates are advised not to put any wrong details.

The Board verifies the candidate’s eligibility at the time of counselling and registration with the University.

In case any candidate secures merit rank in the test but is found ineligible during verification process, his/her candidature will be cancelled.

WBJEE 2025 Application Form​


The can be filled by the applicants from fourth week of December 2024. Candidates have to fill out and submit the application form till last week of January 2025. Candidates must note that the registration process is only completed after the confirmation page is generated.

Successfully registered candidates can download their admit card from April 2025. Also, facility will be provided to the candidates for making changes in the details filled in the application form.

The application fee to be paid by the candidates is Rs. 500 for General candidates and Rs. 400 for SC/ ST/OBC- A/OBC-B candidates (Rs.200 for third gender), plus the Bank’s service charges. The fee can be paid through online mode by debit/credit card or net banking.
