International Yoga Day is celebrated on 21 June every year to honor the traditional practice of yoga, which emanated in India. Yoga helps in reducing stress and anxiety, besides providing physical relaxation. We at Vikas Bharati Public School celebrated International Yoga Day with great enthusiasm and fervour. The young Vbpians actively participated in various activities that were oraganised to spread awareness about International Yoga Day. Mass Yoga Sessions were conducted wherein the school students performed various asanas like – Tadasana, Trikonasana, Chandrasana and Surya namaskar. Students were made aware about the various benefits of Yoga in our day to day lives. Regular meditation sessions were taken up and to further imbibe the practice of Yoga in students.Rhythmic yoga session was also organized.
