Tomorrow, May 23 at 10 a.m. EDT, the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and Ukraine’s Ministry of Digital Transformation will host the first-ever
event.
Diia, the groundbreaking and award-winning mobile application that connects 19 million Ukrainians with more than 120 government services and dozens of digital documents, has distinguished Ukraine as a world leader in e-government innovation. Since Russia’s full-scale invasion, Diia has also been used as a critical platform for supporting displaced Ukrainians and providing a range of services to those impacted by the war.
Built in partnership with the U.S., Diia is now – and Diia in DC will offer an exclusive opportunity to see firsthand how this important tool is helping transform the way people connect with their governments.
The event will feature USAID Administrator Samantha Power, Ukraine Vice Prime Minister and Minister of Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov, Ukraine Ambassador to the United States Oksana Markarova, New York Magazine Editor-at-Large Kara Swisher, Executive Chairman of Visa Alfred F. Kelly, Jr., and Chair of Eurasia Foundation Pamela L. Spratlen.
