UrFU Delegation Contributes to World Scientific Congress on Rehabilitation in Abu Dhabi

On September 23-25, the delegation of UrFU UGI headed by the Rector of the University Victor Koksharov and representatives of the Ural Institute of Humanities took part in the World Congress on Rehabilitation (WCR), which was held for the first time in Abu Dhabi, the capital of the UAE.

Within the framework of the congress, the following speakers took part in the sections:

  • , Rector of UrFU, “The Emirati-Russian Psychological Dictionary”;
  • , Head of the , “Syndrome-Based Approach For Neuropsychological Assessment Of Children With Learning Disabilities”;
  • , Associate Professor of the , “The Use Of Digital Technologies For The Professional Rehabilitation Of Young People With Disabilities”;
  • , Head of the Laboratory of Clinical and Behavioral Human Research, “Early Rehabilitation Practices In Cognitive Development For Children With Epilepsy And Epileptiform Activity Without Seizures”.

On the margins of the Congress on July 24, a solemn ceremony of launching the GPT version of the first Emirati-Russian Dictionary of Psychology was also held. The ceremony was attended and supported by Timur Zabirov, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to the United Arab Emirates, and a delegation from the Sverdlovsk Region headed by Deputy Governor Pavel Krekov.

“The Learning Dictionary was developed to strengthen the interaction between educational and scientific organizations and associations of our countries, and its interactive version with GPT format is designed to become a client-oriented source for the younger generation of users,” said the Rector of UrFU, speaking at the launch ceremony.

Abdullah Abudalee Al Humaidan, General Secretary of the Zayed Higher Organization for People of Determination (ZHO), stressed that the e-platform aims to provide specialized scientific content on psychology in Arabic, Russian, and English. The initiative aims to address the lack of scientific literature on psychology in Arabic and bridge the knowledge gap between the UAE and the Russian Federation with the help of modern artificial intelligence technology.

The dictionary is divided into four sections and contains information on more than 4,500 terms from all major sections of psychology.
