Another Rs 1,000 crore is designated for the makeover of government primary schools. The Finance Minister, Suresh Kumar Khanna, announced a shift to direct bank transfers of Rs 1,200 per student for uniforms and stationery, discontinuing the procurement process. Additionally, funds are allocated for Operation Kayakalp, digital libraries, infrastructure enhancement in schools, and vocational education initiatives, emphasizing skill development and job opportunities.
