Achieving a degree is a significant milestone, but for Isaac Jarman, it marks the beginning of an exciting entrepreneurial journey. The 23-year-old recently graduated with a BAcc (Hons) in Accounting from the University of Dundee’s and has already stepped into the role of CEO of JukeBox Live, an innovative business he co-founded with two friends.

the brainchild of Isaac and his co-founders Samuel Cole and Matthew Gibson-Smith, aims to revolutionize the music experience in pubs and clubs. The app, developed during their time at the University, allows customers to request songs directly from their phones, with the venue having the final say on the playlist. Their innovative concept secured funding through the University’s annual Venture Competition in February.

Reflecting on the journey, Isaac said, “I believed in what we were doing right from the start but there were difficult days along the way when we thought this was never going to happen. We overcame various challenges and gradually it became more and more of a reality. It was a great feeling when we got it approved in the app store.”

Isaac Jarman’s story is a testament to the entrepreneurial spirit fostered at the University of Dundee, and his innovative approach to combining technology and music promises to make a significant impact on the entertainment industry.
