The Association of Indian Universities and Symbiosis International-Deemed Universities will host the Universities-20Uni-20 conference in Pune on June 19, 20 and 21 as a complementary event to the flagship education event of the G-20 . Its theme is – ‘ The Future of Universities Making the World a Better Place to ‘Live in the Transformative Role of Universities ‘. This three day conference will be organized at Symbiosis International University in Pune. Uni-20 will be attended by senior academics and educational leaders from G-20 countries. About 70 international delegates, G-20 countries and more than 40 speakers from all continents will participate in the conference.

2 Madhya Pradesh government launched Ladli Behna Yojana, every woman of the state will get one thousand rupees per month​

In Madhya Pradesh, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan launched a new scheme for women empowerment in the state at the state level ‘ Mukhyamantri Ladli Bahna Yojana ‘ program organized at Garrison Ground, Jabalpur . Under this scheme named Mukhyamantri Ladli Bahna Yojana, the Chief Minister inaugurated this scheme by depositing an amount of Rs 1,000 each in the accounts of 1.25 crore women of the state. In his address on this occasion, Shri Chouhan said that with time, the amount of Ladli Bahna Yojana will be increased from Rs 2,000 to Rs 3,000 . He said that now women will not have to stretch their hands for small needs. Significantly, the Laadli Bahna Yojana was announced on March 5 this year.And in about 35 days, more than one crore 25 lakh women submitted applications to take advantage of this scheme. An amount of one thousand rupees was deposited in the bank accounts of all these women. At the same time, the state government has also issued a phone number 181 for the help of women . Apart from this , Ladli Bahna Sena will also be formed for women empowerment and security . Along with providing security to women, this army will also help in taking advantage of government schemes.

Har Ghar Jal program of Jal Jeevan Mission under Ministry of Jal Shakti was announced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on August 15, 2019 . The objective of the program is to provide affordable and regular access to safe drinking water through taps to every rural household.

4 ‘Shakti’ Smart Card Scheme of Government of Karnataka​

The Karnataka government has advised women to apply for Shakthi smart cards to avail free travel in state buses starting June 11 . The government has already issued a set of guidelines on the ‘Shakti’ scheme, one of the key poll promises of the Congress party in Karnataka. According to the Transport Department of Karnataka, women can apply for Shakti Smart Card through sevasindhu.karnataka.gov.in from June 11.

7 Microsoft and AirJaldi Networks Strengthen Collaboration to Provide Internet Access to Under-Served Communities in 12 States​

Microsoft and AirJaldi Networks , a leading provider of Internet connectivity solutions for rural areas , have worked together through a three-year Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) titled ‘ Contentful Connectivity ‘. The strategic partnership aims to improve internet access and meaningful connectivity in rural areas of India by collaborating with the private, public and non-profit sectors. The initiative is part of the Microsoft AirBand initiative, which is focused on expanding the AirJaldi network, driving broadband adoption, driving digital transformation and uplifting underserved communities. As part of the ‘Contentful Connectivity’ initiative, AirJaldi networks three new states. : Telangana, Chhattisgarh and Odisha I will expand my network. It aims to increase the number of network locations from 40 to 62 across 12 states , covering an additional 1,500 km of fiber network. This extension will provide internet access to about 500,000 underprivileged beneficiaries in 20,000 sq km.

The survey analyzed 227 cities across five continents to determine the cost of living for expatriates. After Mumbai, New Delhi and Bengaluru rank second and third respectively in the list. In the 2023 survey, Mumbai was ranked 147th in the global ranking, with New Delhi 169th, Chennai 184th, Bengaluru 189th, Hyderabad 202nd, Kolkata 211th and Pune 213th. Globally, the most expensive cities for expatriates are Hong Kong, Singapore and Zurich Were. The survey assessed the cost of a variety of items at each location, including housing, transportation, food, clothing, household items, and entertainment.
