1 United Nations General Assembly accepts India’s proposal to set up a new memorial for martyred peacekeepers
The United Nations General Assembly has accepted India’s proposal to set up a new memorial wall for peacekeepers killed in the line of duty. India had proposed setting up a memorial wall for the martyred peacekeepers in the United Nations General Assembly. The proposal has received a record 190 co-proposers . This is proof of India’s contribution and trust in its intention. The UN Martyrs Peacekeepers Memorial Wall resolution was tabled by India’s Permanent Representative to the UN Ruchira Kamboj in the General Assembly yesterday and was adopted unanimously. Ms. Kamboj said that the Memorial Wall will be a testimony to the peacekeeping efforts of the United Nations. He said that it will remind the sacrifice of the martyrs.

4 Vaibhav Fellowship Program announced to connect Indian Diaspora with Indian Higher Educational Institutions
The Union Government has launched a new fellowship program to engage the Indian STEAM diaspora with the country’s teaching and R&D institutions in collaborative research to share knowledge, wisdom and best practices in cutting edge areas of science and technology. . Global Indian Scientist (VAIBHAV) to be implemented by the Department of Science and Technology (DST) under the Ministry of Science and TechnologyThe fellowship program will be awarded to outstanding scientists/technologists of Indian origin (NRI/OCI/PIO) who are engaged in research work in their respective countries. The selected 75 Fellows will be invited to work in 18 identified knowledge verticals including quantum technology, health, pharma, electronics, agriculture, energy, computer science and materials science. The Vaibhav Summit was organized by the Government of India to connect the country’s STEAM migrants with Indian institutions, which was inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and was attended by over 25,000 people and Indian STEAM from more than 70 countries. The migrants had deliberated in this.
5 Approval of Developing Nation Status Act
The US Senate Foreign Relations Committee recently approved the Developing Nation Status Act , which seeks to remove China ‘s ” developing country ” status. The move follows similar action taken by the US House of Representatives in March. The legislation, officially called the Developing Nation Status Act, was passed unanimously by the US Senate Foreign Relations Committee. Its main goal is to constitute US policy against granting China “developing country” status in future treaties and international organizations. The act directs the secretary of state to actively change China’s status as a “developed country” in relevant agreements.
6 HPCL tests E27 fuel
Hindustan Petroleum Corp Ltd (HPCL) has launched an ambitious pilot study, becoming the first oil marketing company in India to conduct extensive research on vehicles using E27 fuel and ethanol blended diesel fuel. The initiative is in line with the ethanol blending roadmap outlined by the Government of India, which aims to achieve 20% ethanol blended gasoline (E20) by 2023 and ensure its wider availability. Preliminary studies on vehicles running on E27 have demonstrated a significant reduction in emissions, especially carbon dioxide, compared to conventional gasoline. HPCL’s pilot study on E27 fuel is aimed at assessing its performance and emissions in engines and vehicles through extended mileage accumulation.
7 Indian Navy’s Outreach Program Jule Ladakh (Hello Ladakh)
The Indian Navy is conducting an outreach program ” Julai Ladakh ” (Hello Ladakh) to raise awareness about the service in the new state of Ladakh and engage the youth and civil society there. 8 Tamil Nadu government withdraws general consent to CBI
Recently the Tamil Nadu government has decided to withdraw the general consent given to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) to investigate in the state . This means that henceforth the CBI will have to seek the approval of the Tamil Nadu government to conduct investigations in the state. The general consent given to the CBI allows the agency to carry out unhindered investigation into corruption cases involving central government employees. It facilitates access of the agency to conduct investigation without seeking specific permission for each case. The objective of this agreement is to speed up the investigations related to corruption and ensure smooth proceedings.

The 3-day meeting of the Ministers under the Agriculture Working Group (AWG) of the G-20 began on a high note in Hyderabad . Union Minister of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Shri Narendra Singh Tomar said that priority areas of agriculture are being discussed in the meeting. 16 First Tribal Sports Festival organized in Bhubaneswar
Odisha ‘s first Tribal Sports Festival concluded at KIIT , with Odisha emerging as overall champion in both men’s and women’s sections .
