Speaking at a program in Bhubaneswar, Minister Dharmendra Pradhan suggested that primary education should be taught in local dialects until at least the 5th grade. He believes that if children learn and write in their native language, it will enhance their logical thinking and analytical skills. Pradhan also urged the Odisha government to implement the PM Schools for Rising India (PM SHRI) scheme and proposed special programs to promote the Odia language. Additionally, he inaugurated new buildings at the Eastern Regional Languages Centre and signed a MoU for language research.
