The University Grants Commission (UGC) removed Techno Global University, Meghalaya from its list of recognized universities based on the state education department's recommendation. The university, established in 2013, offered various courses sponsored by Techno India, Kolkata. However, it had not initiated any academic activities, issued certificates, or authorized anyone to act on its behalf.
