Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams chairman YV Subba Reddy and EO AV Dharma Reddy inaugurated a new hostel block for students at SV Balamandir in Tirupati on Thursday. The temple trust spent Rs.11 crore for the new hostel. YV Subba Reddy recalled that the TTD established SV orphanage in Tirupati in 1943. Additionally, the TTD chairman also inaugurated a waiting hall for patient attendants at Sri Venkateswara institute of medical sciences, which cost approximately Rs.2 crore. The trust board recently sanctioned an additional sum of Rs.4.4 crore to construct two more floors to be earmarked as additional waiting halls.
