CPGET 2023 is a Telangana Common PGCET or Telangana Common PG Entrance Test. Osmania University will conduct the Telangana State Common Post Graduate Entrance Test (CPGET) for admission into MA, M.Com, MSc for the 2023-23 academic year.

Osmania University will conduct the TS CPGET in July 20 for admissions to various courses like MA, MSc, MCom, PG diploma courses and 5-years integrated programmes.

As per the official notice, the process has started again and the candidates who had not filled it last time can do it by the deadline with a late fee of Rs.2,000. Check the process to fill the application here.

OU has released the Common PG Entrance Test, CPGET for admission into MA, MCom, MSc, Other PG Courses, PG Diploma Courses, 5 Year PG Courses. The CPGET for admission into MA, M.Com, M.Sc etc shall be conducted by Osmania University for the year 2023-2023.

The registration fee for a single subject is Rs.800/- for OC/BC candidates and Rs.600/- for SC/ST/PH candidates. For each additional subject, the fee is Rs.450/- for all categories. The registration fee may be paid at any TS/AP Online Centers or through payment gateway (Credit Card / Debit Card / Net Banking).

The meeting decided that OU should conduct the entrance test for the ensuing academic year. Following this, Prof S Ramachandram, VC of OU has been appointed as the Chairman of CPGET, he said. Further, VCs of all six universities and Prof R Limbadri and Prof V Venkata Ramana, Vice Chairman of TSCHE will be the members of the CPGET committee, he said.

Telangana to conduct Common Entrance Test for PG admissions: Telangana will have a common entrance test for the post-graduation admissions in the state. The decision was taken in the review meeting held by the government, higher education.

The Telangana State Council of Higher Education, TSCHE has released a press release where it has stated that the entrance test for admission into the master of arts, commerce, and science ( MA, M.Com, MSc) shall be conducted by Osmania University (OU).

Professor S Ramachandram, Vice-Chancellor, OU has been appointed as the chairman for the test i.e., CPGET. The Convenor of the exam is yet to be appointed by the Chairman. A committee of six vice-chancellors of the state universities is formed by TSCHE to discuss the further process of the examination

Maintenance responsibilities for Osmania Varsity: Higher Education Council Chairman Tummala Papireddy said that CPGET is conducting admissions in PG courses across six universities in Telangana state.

The Joint PG Entrance Examination (TS CPGET) will be held this year for admission to PG courses in the JNTUH campus along with other six traditional universities across Telangana.

So, Colleges within OU, Kakatiya, Telangana, Palamur, Mahatma Gandhi and Satavahana Universities have decided to take Only One test for admission to PG courses from the current academic year.

The University of Osmania is conducting entrance exams for Palamooru, Mahatma Gandhi, Telangana and OU and KU is conducting entrance exams for Kakatiya and Satavahana varsity.

On the other hand, JNTUH Kukatpally Campus is conducting another examination exclusively for MSc courses. This requires students to take two to three exams. They are financially deprived. That is why it was decided at the meeting to conduct a joint examination. It is expected that the joint test will bring talented students to JNTUH this time and seats will likely be overstated.

For the first time in 2019, a joint entrance test will be conducted for admissions at seven universities in the state. Admission to 60 subjects (MA, MSc, MCom, Library Science, Journalism and 10 Diploma courses). Telangana Common Post Graduate Entrance Test (TS CPGET) 2020 Notification will be released on 29th of this month.

Single test and Single admission through TS CPGET. As a part of the Common PGCET, you have to choose any one subjects to test and select a subject within a university. A student who has got good rank in this test can choose any varsity.

How to fill the CPGET application form 2023?​

  1. The candidates should register themselves on the official website, .

  3. Completely fill the CPGET application form by providing all the required details
  4. Candidates shall attach a scanned copy of their passport-sized photograph and signature
  5. Pay the TS CPGET 2020 application fee using an online fee payment method and submit the form
  6. Download filled in application form as a copy for future reference.

  1. What is CPGET?​


    The CPGET entrance test is conducted by Osmania University every year for enrolling students in postgraduate, diploma, five-year integrated PG programmes.

  2. What is the eligibility criteria for CPGET?​


    To be eligible to apply for the integrated courses, candidates must have cleared class 12 with at least 50 per cent marks in aggregate. Those applying for the PG courses, must have cleared graduation.

  3. How much is the registration fee for CPGET?​


    Candidates belonging to the general, OC and BC categories will have to pay a registration fee of Rs 800 for a single subject. While candidates belonging to SC, ST and PH categories have to pay Rs 600. The fee for each additional subject is Rs 450 for all categories.

  4. What is the CPGET Exam Pattern?​


    The CPGET exam pattern will include 100 multiple choice questions each carrying 1 mark. This makes up the whole paper of 100 marks. The time duration given to students will be 90 minutes.
