The admissions to pg programmes offered by the newly set up Telangana Mahila Vishwa Vidyalayam (Telangana Women’s University) will be through the Common PGCET. The Telangana Women’s University has been included in the CPGET this year.
The entrance tests will be conducted by Osmania University for admitting students to PG and five-year integrated programmes offered by Osmania, Kakatiya, Satavahana, Telangana, Mahatma Gandhi, Palamuru universities, Telangana Mahila Vishwa Vidyalayam and JNTU-Hyderabad.
This year, the CPGET has undergone major changes. A candidate with any undergraduate degree is eligible to take admissions into six postgraduate courses, viz., Political Science, Public Administration, History, Economics, English and Telugu. 50 courses were being offered by 320 colleges under eight universities.
MPEd & MA DS Course: 100 Marks Question Paper for MPED Course Entrance Test as part of TS CPGET: The two-year Master of Physical Education (MPED) will have a 100-mark question paper in the Common PG Entrance Examination (CPGET) for admission to PG courses at seven universities in the state.
Until last year the exam was for 75 marks. The remaining 25 marks will be awarded to certificates earned in sports competitions. That procedure was removed this time due to the corona. Similarly, a new MA Development Studies course is being introduced at Mahatma Gandhi University in Nalgonda. Those who want to pursue it should appear for the Master of Social Work (MSW) examination. Apply till the deadline.

There is a multiple-choice questions system in this test. Students will no longer have to prepare for the entrance exams of the respective universities due to the CPGET.
This is because the entrance test, syllabus and exam method of the respective universities are different and the student has to prepare accordingly. Now there will be no trouble. It also reduces the financial burden of applying for the entrance exam.
(b) Benefits for Rural Students: Conducting a single common entrance test for PG admissions in colleges under the two universities can benefit to rural students.
From applying to the preparation and counselling process, there will be no more cost burden, problems and difficulties. Information about the respective courses can be found in one platform. Students will increase their awareness of choice in related courses they like.
(c) The academic year will be on the same calendar: Because of conducting a single entrance test for all the universes, the academic calendar of the colleges is likely to be the same for all. This is because Osmania University PG Semester exams and Kakatiya University exams are taking place at different times. It is no longer expected to be so.

(a). Candidates who have completed a degree with a single subject in open/distance mode of education are not eligible for P.G. Courses. (b). Candidates qualified in CPGET-2023 are eligible for admissions into Campus, Constituent and Affiliated Colleges of Osmania, Kakatiya, Telangana, Mahatma Gandhi, Palamuru, Satavahana and Jawaharlal Nehru Technological Universities.
(c). B.Com candidates are not eligible for M.A. Economics. (d). For M.A languages courses, Degrees like B.E., B. Tech., B. Pharm. etc are not eligible. (e). The candidates with other than B.A. / B.Sc. / B.Com. qualification like B.E., B. Tech., B. Pharmacy, LLB (5 yrs), B.C.A., etc. must go through the eligibility conditions before applying to ensure their eligibility.
(f). B.Pharm. / B.Sc.(MLT) / B.Sc. (Nursing) / B.Sc. (Ag) / B.Sc. (Home Science) / B.Tech. / B.E. Graduates are not eligible for M.Sc. Courses. However, B.E./B.Tech graduates are eligible for M.Sc. (Geo Informatics).
(g). B.E., & B.Tech, etc; candidates are not eligible for M.Sc. Computer Science and M.Sc. Mathematics. (h). Notwithstanding anything contained in this Information Brochure, the rules and regulations that are in force in the University at the time of admissions shall be final and binding. (i). All disputes pertaining to CPGET-2023 shall fall within the court’s jurisdiction of Hyderabad only.
