Triptii Dimri Reveals Reason Behind Doing Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Animal1

Actress has recently enjoyed sweet success with several hits in 2024 and a lineup of movies in 2025. The actress rose to fame with her role as Zoya in the starrer . Triptii has worked in critically acclaimed movies like , , and Bulbbul.

However, soon after gaining immense popularity post the release of Animal, Triptii started appearing mostly in commercial cinema, such as Bad Newz and Vicky Vidya Ka Viral Video. Explaining why she picked a film like Animal, where her role was merely eye candy – a role many considered anti-feminist and misogynist.

Talking to Filmfare in an interview, Triptii revealed that she didn’t find Animal to be an anti-feminist film. She shared, “I don’t give such tags to films. Even while doing Bulbbul and Qala, I never thought I was doing a feminist film. I connected with the characters, had faith in the directors and felt I should do it.”

She then added, “Even when Animal was offered to me, I met Sandeep sir and he didn’t tell me much about the story, he explained my character. To me, what was exciting was that I have only done goody and nice person roles – who get sympathy at the end – till now, and I felt this was a nice space to be in where I do this character.”

In the same interview, Triptii recalled how Vanga wanted her to perceive the character as having innocence and kindness but “inside I should have that mission in my heart, that I want to accomplish.” She found the role challenging.

Further, Triptii revealed that there was another reason to say yes to Animal. She added, “And of course, everybody wants to do a big film. Till that time, I was an actor who had done Bulbbul, Qala, and all the films that were being offered, were only those types of movies. I would have loved to do such films and I would love to continue doing those. However, at that time, getting a big film was a big deal for me. Maybe, I’ll get to learn something new and I’ll also get to see how big films are made.”

Triptii Dimri will next be seen in Dhadak 2, which is slated to release in 2025.
