Social media has become a powerful way to connect and is now as important as traditional media. It has brought celebrities from different fields closer to the public, but it also has its downsides. Many updates are often unreliable, and some users behave abusively, especially toward celebrities.

Celebrities sometimes get into arguments with anonymous users, which disrupts their peace and leads them to file cybercrime complaints.

To promote awareness and create a positive social media environment, the AP government has launched a new initiative with support from popular Telugu film stars.

Actors , , and l have voiced their support for this great cause by releasing video messages encouraging social media users to “pledge to post no evil”. In the campaign, they stress the importance of saying “NO to fake news and abusive behavior” on social media.

This effort to make social media a better space with the help of celebrities is a commendable move by the AP government. And, of course, the cybercrime department remains ready to handle those abusers who refuse to change their behavior.
