Telangana Minorities Welfare Department, Residential Educational Institutions Society has given the TG Minorities Residential School Admission Admission Counselling 2025 or TMR School Admission Counselling 2025 notification on its official website.
TG Minorities Gurukulam Admission 2025 process has been started for 5th to 8th Class admissions in TGMREIS Residential Schools.
For 2025, TGMREIS will not conduct the TGMRS CET to fill up the 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th Class vacancy seats in Telangana Minority Gurukulam Schools.
Online Applications were invited through the TGMREIS Official website, tmreis.telangana.gov.in, from eligible candidates from Minority Communities.
Selection of candidates would be made by Lucky Dip for admissions in class 5 in 204 TMR Schools of Telangana State and for backlog-limited seats available for Minorities in classes 6, 7 & 8 for the Academic Year 2025.
Offline application forms can be obtained from the concerned Schools & submitted to the concerned Principals directly.

TMR School Admission: Telangana Minorities Residential Educational Institutions Society (TMREIS) issued official notification for admission of students into 204 Telangana Minorities Residential Schools across the State for the academic year.
For this academic year, admissions of students in TMR Schools will be based on a lucky draw. However, from next academic year onwards, admissions will be held based on the entrance exam. This will ensure only merit students will get a chance in these schools.
Still, now we have an idea that minority Gurukuls are only for Muslims / Christians but it is not true. Recently govt released guidelines for admissions in these 204 new schools.
These are going to be filled in the following percentile i.e., 75% – Minorities and 25% seats – SC, ST, BC & OC.
TGMREIS is on a mission to protect and promote Urdu among the next generation of students. “To make that happen, for minority students, TGMREIS have made Urdu language compulsory while other students will have the option of choosing subjects based in their personal interest,
and to improve creativity and life skills in students, a robotics lab will be introduced in TGMREIS schools from this academic year. Through the innovative robotic lab, students will get exposure to advanced technology.
The schools which were started from the previous academic year. Those admissions are for 5th,6th,7th, 8th,9th classes. Each class consists of 2 sections. Each section is of 40 members. Total seats are 240 of each school. So, Hurry up to apply for these schools
Process of Selection of Candidates and Admission process in TMR School: Venue of Selection process is Respective TMR School. The selection of candidates shall be done by drawl of lucky dip at school level duly following the rule of reservation of TGMREIS in presence of Selection Committee from the list of enrolled candidates for admission.
The list of the candidates enrolled through the online will be forwarded to the respective schools after receipt of the same from CGG.
The selection should be done Class wise and Community/caste wise. The Class Wise, Community/Caste wise list of enrolled candidates may be displayed in the notice board of the school.
Parents of the enrolled candidates should be informed about the selection process but they should not be invited nor allowed to witness the selection process due to pandemic.
If the number of candidates enrolled from a particular community in a class is the number of seats/vacancies available, these candidates less or equal to shall be selected directly for admission without drawl of lucky dips.
After this process still if any vacancies are left over in any particular category offline applications of the respective category shall be invited to fill the left over vacancies duly following above procedure.
If the number of candidates enrolled from a particular community/caste for admission in a class is more than the number of seats/vacancies available, the selection is done by drawl of lucky dips from the enrolled candidates of the community/caste against the sanctioned strength/vacancies.
Tokens may be used for drawl of lots. The token number of the candidates should be same as that of the serial number of the candidates in the enrolment list.
Before the process of selection of the candidates the principal has to explain the selection process, Rule of Reservation, number of candidates enrolled from each community, number of seats /vacancies available in each community etc., to the committee members at the time of selection process. The minutes of the meeting also should be recorded.
If the candidates belong to special category viz. Orphan / Disabled/Armed force personnel or Ex-Servicemen Children or Widows of ex – servicemen children are enrolled, their selection shall be done as per Rule of Reservation of TGMREIS before the selection of other candidates in the respective community.
Drawl of lucky dips shall be done class wise & Community/caste wise in the order Minority – Muslims, Christians, Jains, Parsis, Buddhist & Sikhs, Non-Minority, SC,ST,BC,OC categories and the selection list should be prepared in the same manner, based on the drawl of the lucky dips.
All the Tokens of candidates of respective class & Community/caste shall be put in the box and Jumbled before drawl of lucky dips is done.
Before putting the Token number into the box, the name of the candidates and token number shall be read in presence of committee members.
Community wise waiting list (50% of sanctioned strength/vacancies) may be drawn by lucky dip, this list may be used to fill the vacancies if any after the operation of the Selection list.
If any vacancies are leftover in Muslim or Christian of Minority category after process of selection due to non-availability of candidates in the enrolled list, they should not be filled up by any other community candidates.
If the required number of candidates are not enrolled from Muslim or Christian category against the vacant seats of same category, the seats shall remain be kept vacant.
If any vacancies are available in Sikh, Jains, Parsis or Buddhists quota due to non-availability of candidates from these communities from the enrolled list, these vacancies shall be filled up first by the Muslim candidates by drawl of lucky dip, after exhaust of Muslim candidates from the enrolled list, the Christian candidates shall be considered for selection.
If any vacancies are still vacant in SC, ST, or BC category of Non-Minority after process of selection due to non-availability of enrolled candidates, these vacancies should be kept vacant and should not be filled up by any other category candidates without the permission of the Secretary.
However if vacancies are available in OC category due to non-availability of enrolled candidates they may be filled up by considering all the enrolled candidates of SC , ST and BC candidates by drawl of lots, i.e. token numbers of all the candidates of SC, ST and BC are put in the drawl of lots.
But at any point of time vacancies in Minority category (if available) should not be filled with the Non-Minority candidates even if the candidates are not enrolled from any Minority community against the vacant seats without the permission of the Secretary.
The above guidelines shall also be followed for admission of Minority candidates against backlog vacancies in classes VI, VII and VIII.
If the number of enrolled candidates in any community are less than the vacancies/ seats available against the respective category, offline applications from the respective community/caste can be invited and fill the vacancies duly following the above procedure.
After selection of the candidates by drawl of lucky dips, their selection should be considered as provisionally selected candidates, accordingly list of Provisionally selected candidates shall be prepared and displayed in the School Notice Board duly signed by the selection committee members and communicate to the concerned parents/guardians through SMS and over phone with a direction to submit the relevant documents.
A compliance report should be submitted to the head Office TGMREIS mail id academics.tmreis@gmail.com. after the process of selection.
Documents of provisionally selected candidates should be verified as per the details given below: The Principal concerned should communicate to the parents of provisionally selected candidates through the SMS and phone call with a direction to report to the School with their ward along with the following documents in original and one set of photo copies of certificates for verification.
Following documents in originals with one set of Xerox copies should be submitted by the selected candidates at the time of admission:
After receipt of the above T.C./Record sheet from the eligible candidate, his/her admission shall be confirmed by issuing the admission letter along with the daily routine, rules and regulations of TMR School with a direction to report to the School to join in the hostel to attend the regular classes.
If any vacancies are left over in any category for not having fulfilled the eligibility criteria or not responded to the communication for admission by the provisionally selected candidates of the selection list, the candidates from the waiting list shall be admitted duly following the rule of reservation and above procedure.
List of the Minority category who were enrolled but not selected in lucky dip should be sent to all the neighbouring TMR schools in the erstwhile district to consider their candidature for admission against the vacancies available if any in those schools.

- How To Apply: The eligible candidates from minorities and non-minority communities in the State have to submit online applications for free of cost through TGMREIS official website tmreis.telangana.gov.in.
- Last date to Apply: For new admissions into Class V and against backlog vacancies into classes VI, VII, VIII and IX in the 204 TMR schools, the availability of online application started on the notified date onwards and the last date to apply is May 31.
- Annual income should not exceed: Rs.1,50,000/- (Rural Areas) and Rs.2,00,000/- (Urban Areas).
- Caste , income, date of birth, Aadhar cards should be produced at the time of application. At the time of admission TC, bonafide, progress cards should be submitted.

- Record sheet/Transfer certificate (to be submitted after confirmation of the admission).
- Two Passport size Photographs of candidates and one Photograph of Parents.
