UPSC Coaching Preparations: Due to its extensive syllabus, three-tier structure, and high competition, the Civil Services Examination is one of the toughest competitive exams in India. Annually held by the Union Public Service Commission(UPSC), the Civil Services Examination is conducted for recruitment to the services and posts such as Indian Administrative Service, Indian Foreign Service, Indian Police Service, Indian Audit and Accounts Service, Group ‘A’, Indian Civil Accounts Service, Group ‘A’, Indian Corporate Law Service, Group ‘A, and many more. The Civil Services Examination will consist of two successive stages

  1. Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination (Objective type) for the selection of candidates for the Main Examination; and
  2. Civil Services (Main) Examination (Written and Interview) for the selection of candidates.

The exam has three stages — Preliminary, Mains, and Interview. Each stage tests different skills, from factual knowledge to analytical thinking and personality. At first, candidates must appear for the preliminary round, and later selected aspirants appear for the main and interview rounds. The object of the Interview/Personality Test is to assess the personal suitability of the candidate for a career in public service by a Board of competent and unbiased observers. The Interview/Personality Test is intended to judge the mental calibre of a candidate.
