The President of India, Smt. Draupadi Murmu at the 75th Foundation Day function of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI), in New Delhi on July 01, 2023 . Speaking on the occasion, the President said that today is not only a special day for the Chartered Accountants fraternity but also for the auditing fraternity. The Chartered Accountants community is a strong pillar of the business world which strengthens good governance. He said that they have a major role in showing the true state of the economy.

2 Indian Coast Guard and Navy signed MoU with Indian Port Rail and Ropeway Corporation Limited to construct gallery at National Maritime Heritage Complex​

The National Maritime Heritage Complex (NMHC) , which is being constructed in the historic Indus Valley Civilization area of Lothal (Gujarat) , is involved in the planning, development, construction and installation of a gallery on the theme ” Evolution of the Indian Navy and the Indian Coast Guard “. Indian Coast Guard and Indian Navy and Indian Port Rail and Ropeway Corporation Limited at Gandhinagar to be commissioned on 02 Jul 2023 A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between The Central Government under the aegis of the Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways is building a National Maritime Heritage Complex (NMHC) at the historic Indus Valley Civilization area of Lothal (Gujarat). The foundation stone for the NMHC project was laid by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi in March 2019. It will include a Maritime Museum, Light House Museum, Maritime Theme Park, Amusement Park Centre. NMHC will showcase the country’s maritime heritage from ancient to modern times, adopting an education and entertainment approach using latest technology to spread awareness about India’s maritime heritage.

3 Union Home and Cooperation Minister Shri Amit Shah launches Made in India ‘Akshar River Cruise’ on Sabarmati Riverfront through video conferencing​

Union Home and Cooperation Minister Shri Amit Shah launched Made in India ‘ Akshar River Cruise ‘ on Sabarmati Riverfront by Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation and Sabarmati Riverfront Development Corporation Limited through video conferencing. This cruise is the first passenger catamaran built in India at a cost of ₹15 crore under Make-in India, which has two engines and can travel safely for one and a half hours.

6 Dream-11 became the lead sponsor of Team India​

fantasy sports company Dream-11 will now be the main sponsor of Team India . Dream-11 will now be printed on the Indian cricket team’s jersey instead of Byju ‘s. This three-year deal has been done for Rs 358 crore. BCCI made this information public through its official Twitter handle. The Dream-11 logo will be used on the jersey of the Indian team from the West Indies tour. This tour is starting from 12th July.

7 Rajinder Singh Dhatt honored with Points of Light Award​

On a special occasion during the UK-India Week celebrations , veteran soldier Rajinder Singh Dhatt was presented to the United Kingdom presented with the prestigious Point of Light award by Prime Minister of Rishi Sunak . to be provided. Rajinder Singh Dhatt has been the driving force behind the “Undivided Indian Ex-Servicemen Association”, an organization focused on uniting veterans of the British Indian War. The Point of Light award recognizes Dhatt’s extraordinary service and his tireless efforts to bring these stalwarts together. Dhatt, who currently lives in Hounslow, South West London, was born in 1921 in pre-Partition India. During World War II, he joined the British Indian Army, demonstrating his dedication to serving his country. Through his commitment and hard work, Dhatt progressed and achieved the respected rank of Havaldar Major (Sergeant Major) in 1943.

10 India’s largest natural arch discovered by GSI in Odisha​

The state unit of the Geological Survey of India (GSI) has discovered a spectacular ” Natural Arch ” located in the Kanika Range of the Sundergarh Forest Division . This geological wonder is believed to have originated during the Jurassic period . GSI has also proposed a Geo Heritage tag for ‘Natural Arch’ . If this is done, it will become the largest natural arch in the country with the Geo Heritage tag. The length of this oval shaped arch is 30 meters at the base and it is 12 meters high. The maximum height and width of the Natural Arch are 7 meters and 15 meters respectively. Presently, there are two other natural arches in India – one in the Tirumala Hills of Tirupati and the other in It is located in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands .

11 Virgin Galactic completes first manned mission in space​

Virgin Galactic, founded by Richard Branson, made its first manned mission to the edge of space on June 29. successfully completed, which is a significant milestone for the company after two decades of dedicated efforts. The mission’s focus was research-oriented and involved two Italian Air Force personnel, Colonel Walter Villadei and Lieutenant Colonel Angelo Landolfi, funded by Virgin Galactic. Engineer Pantaleone Carlucci, affiliated with Italy’s National Research Council, and Virgin Galactic astronaut instructor Colin Bennett were also part of the group. The objective of the mission was to assess flight comfort and functionality, providing valuable feedback for enhancing Virgin Galactic’s rocket-powered spacecraft, VSS Unity. The journey began at Virgin Galactic’s spaceport in New Mexico, where passengers boarded the VSS Unity mounted under the wing of the twin-fuselage mothership, VMS Eve.

12 RBI gives non-banking institution license to Mahalaxmi Cooperative Bank​

The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) made an important announcement on June 27 canceling the banking permit of the Mahalaxmi Cooperative Bank Limited in Dharwad , Karnataka . 15 Yuki Bhambri won maiden ATP doubles title in Mallorca, Spain​

This important day acknowledges the contribution made by ICAI, India’s oldest and most respected financial and accounting organization. In its 75th year of existence , ICAI serves as the exclusive licensing and regulatory authority for the accountancy profession and financial auditing in India. All accounting and finance organizations including the National Financial Reporting Authority (NFRA) are bound to follow the guidelines on accounting standards issued by ICAI.

18 Former Punjab Deputy Speaker Bir Devinder Singh passed away​

Former Deputy Speaker of the Punjab Legislative Assembly Bir Devinder Singh passed away at the Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER) in Chandigarh. Bir Devinder, who started off as a leader of the All India Students’ Federation (AISF), was first elected as an MLA from Sirhind in 1980 on a Congress ticket. Later he won from Kharar assembly constituency in 2002. He served as the Deputy Speaker of the Legislative Assembly between 2003 and 2004 during the Amarinder Singh- led Congress government in Punjab . He was expelled from the Congress in 2016 and joined the Shiromani Akali Dal (Taksali) in 2019.
