Telangana Scheduled Castes Study Circle, Hyderabad, working under the control of department of Scheduled Castes Development Dept., is organizing free residential coaching for Civil Services Examination (Prelims cum Mains) 2025.
This free coahing for SC, ST, BC (including BC-E and PwD from these categories) of Telangana State for a period of (10) months from August, 2024 to May, 2025 or upto the end of Civil Services Preliminary 2025 examination for (100) candidates.

Part-A (GS) – Polity, Economy, Geography, History, Science & Technology, Culture and Social Issues and Current Affairs. Special emphasis will be given on the content covered by NCERT Text books from class Vlth to Xll.
Part-B (CSA T) – Quantitative Aptitude, Reasoning, General Mental Ability and English Reading comprehension.
The rule of reservation as follows
The list of selected candidates for admission will be uploaded in the website for the convenience of candidates besides informing them over mail and SMS.
The admissions will take place in the 1st week of Auqust, 2024 after announcement of results of Entrance exam. The selected candidates will be admitted after scrutiny of original certificates.
Original certificates shall be deposited with the Institute as this is a full time residential programme for (10) months period.
All the selected candidates shall submit an undertaking, that they will abide by the terms and conditions of the Institute.
Attendance for all classes is MANDATORY for all students who are admitted in this Course. Any student who fails to attend any class without prior permission will be rusticated without any notice.
Therefore, the candidates shall keep ready the following certificates in original to report for admission
The candidates who have earlier undergone Civil Services coaching in any of the Telangana SC / BC / ST / Minority Study Circles, are not eligible to apply for this exam. Any deviation in disclosure of the facts leads to cancellation of Admission.
Further, the candidates who have taken coaching for regular (5) months Foundation Course at (12) TGSC District Study Circle branches, Short term courses like Sl & Police Constables coaching, Special Foundation Course (Groups) for (2) months at (33) Districts and Special Foundation Course for Group 2, 3 & 4 Services for (3) months at (33) Districts are eliqible to apply for this coaching.

Eligibility Criteria
- Candidates should have completed their Graduation / Professional graduation in any discipline.
- Only SC, ST, BC (including BC-E and PwD from these categories) candidates of Telangana State.
- The annual income of the Parent / Guardian / Family for the financial year 2023-24 should not be more than Rs.3 lakhs for all categories.
- Since this is a full time residential course, candidates should not be employed or pursuing any other courses in any educational institutions during 2024-25.
- Candidates should not have availed any similar coaching sponsored by Government elsewhere.
- Candidates should also be eligible as per the norms prescribed by the UPSC for taking the Civil Services Preliminary 2025 Exam.
CSAT Free Coaching Entrance Exam
- Free Coaching admission into the Study Circle is strictly on the basis of marks secured in merit order in the Entrance Exam at state level.
- Entrance test will be held on 21.07.2024 from 10.30 AM to 1.30 PM.
- The Test Paper will be objective type with multiple Choice questions on the pattern of UPSC Prelims and will be in English medium only.
CSAT Free Coaching Exam Pattern
- The question paper will have two parts – Part-A (GS) and Part-B (CSA T).
- Part-A (GS) will be 100 questions on General Studies and
- Part-B (CSA T) will be 40 questions.
- Each question in Part-A (GS) carries 2 positive marks for correct answer and each question in Part-B (CSAT) carries 2 1/2 positive marks.
- Each wrong answer carries 1/3rd negative marking for Part-A & B.

- The Pad-B (CSAT) is a qualifying in nature same as pattern of UPSC Civil Sen,’ices Preliminary Examination.
- Only those candidates who gets 33 marks and above in Part-B (CSAT) will be qualified and considered for the merit list.
- The merit list will be prepared on the basis of marks obtained only in Part-A (GS).
- The entrance test will be held at Hyderabad, Waranqal and Nizamabad centres.
Reservation for admissions
