Technip Energies Empowers Future Women Engineers: Announces Awardees of 2023-24 STEM Scholarship Program

Mumbai : Technip Energies, a leading engineering and technology company for energy transition, has announced the awardees of the Technip Energies India Scholarship Program 2023-24. This scholarship program is designed to support less privileged female students pursuing studies in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Maths).

Under this program, 100 exceptional scholars have been selected to receive a one-time scholarship grant of INR 30,000 each, which can be utilized for academic purposes, covering expenses such as tuition fees, hostel fees, food, commute, books, stationery, etc.

Speaking on the occasion of the felicitation ceremony, Mr Davendra Kumar, Senior Vice President, Deputy, One T.EN Delivery and Managing Director India, said, “At Technip Energies, we strongly believe that women’s participation in STEM fields is crucial for innovation and progress. Encouraging them to pursue STEM not only empowers them individually but also enriches the field with diverse perspectives and talents, driving greater innovation and solving complex challenges for a better tomorrow. Through our scholarship program, we not only aim to support young women financially but also inspire them to go out there and pursue leadership roles.”

In its second edition, the program witnessed over 3000 aspiring young women from various parts of India mainly Bihar, Assam, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, Gujarat, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana and Maharashtra applying for the scholarship. The scholarship selection process shortlisted meritorious students from economically challenged backgrounds.

As a part of the company’s ESG focus area of ‘enabling people to thrive’, the Technip Energies India Scholarship Program has so far supported 250 deserving female engineers in STEM education, empowering them to thrive in STEM careers and fostering a more inclusive future.
