Schools will remain closed for students of Classes 1 to 5 till June 30, taking into consideration the potential adverse effects of the scorching heat on their health.Additionally, students from Classes 6 to 12 will follow a modified schedule. They will attend school in the morning shift from June 20 to June 30, aiming to minimise their exposure to the hottest parts of the day.

The decision to extend the summer vacations and implement a modified schedule for higher grades underscores the government’s commitment to prioritise the well-being of the students, considering the prevailing heatwave conditions in Madhya Pradesh. Following the extended break, primary schools for students of Classes 1 to 5 will reopen on July 1, 2023, resuming regular operations. Similarly, classes for students of Classes 6 to 12 will also return to their regular schedule from July 1, 2023.
