GURUGRAM : On the occasion of International Cabin Crew Day, SpiceJet is proud to announce a pioneering initiative aimed at enriching the travel experience for our passengers with hearing impairments. Our dedicated cabin crew is embarking on a customised program to learn sign language, underscoring our commitment to creating a more inclusive and welcoming environment for all.

Cabin crew trained in sign language have started flying on select flights from today.

This training will enable our crew to effectively communicate with passengers with hearing loss during their travels. This program empowers SpiceJet to better serve passengers with hearing impairments, fostering a more inclusive and welcoming travel environment for all.

Our trainers and cabin crew have received basic sign language training with the help of the Noida Deaf Society (NDS).

Debojo Maharshi, Chief Business Officer, SpiceJet, said, “At SpiceJet, we are committed to providing a comfortable and convenient travel experience for every passenger. Our cabin crew plays a vital role in this mission, and by equipping them with sign language skills, we are bridging the communication gap and ensuring a more inclusive journey for all. This initiative embodies the spirit of International Cabin Crew Day, where we celebrate the dedication and care provided by our cabin crew members.”

This initiative is part of SpiceJet’s broader efforts to ensure that every passenger feels valued and supported throughout their journey. By equipping our cabin crew with the ability to communicate in sign language, we are taking a significant step towards enhancing the accessibility of our services and fostering a culture of inclusivity.
