The University Grants Commission (UGC) has introduced revised guidelines titled 'Curriculum and Guidelines for Life Skills (Jeevan Kaushal) 2.0' to incorporate new modules in the life skills curriculum for undergraduate students. The new topics include social media, cyber security, cognitive and non-cognitive skills, managing personal finance, constitutional values, and patriotism. The modules can be scheduled as two credit courses in different semesters, allowing flexibility for students and higher education institutions (HEIs). The UGC also recommends the appointment of a Professor of Practice (PoP) to teach these new modules, either from within the institution or external resources.
