Sainik Schools are English medium residential schools affiliated to CBSE and managed by Sainik Schools Society (Ministry of Defence).
They prepare cadets to join the National Defence Academy (NDA), Indian Naval Academy (INA) and other training academies for Officers.
Scheme, duration, medium, syllabus of examination, list of Sainik Schools and their tentative intake, reservation of seats, exam cities, passing requirements, important dates and others relating to the exam are contained in the Information Bulletin hosted on .
Candidates who desire to appear in the exam may read the detailed Information Bulletin for AISSEE and apply online only at .
The exam fee is also required to be paid online through payment gateway, using debit or credit cards or internet banking or PAYTM Wallet.
AISSEE 2022 as a centre-based offline test. AISSEE is a national-level entrance test conducted for admission to Class 6 and Class 9 at 33 Sainik Schools across the country. NTA will prepare the result sheet in the format/s required by Sainik Schools Society.
School-wise and category-wise merit list (separately for boys and girls and for Class 6 and Class 9) will be prepared by NTA and hosted on NTA website. After announcement of results, shortlisted candidates will be called for the medical exam.
The final merit list, published by a Sainik School on its website on the designated date after the Medical Exam, shall include class-wise and category-wise roll numbers of candidates, in the order of their merit, reflecting main list (equal to total number of seats in the category) and waiting list (remaining candidates).
AISSEE would be held for multiple choice questions in offline mode in 380 AISSEE exam centres in 176 cities across the country.
The student will have to score at least 25 per cent in each subject and 40 per cent in total to qualify the entrance exam.
Candidates will be shortlisted for final admission on the basis of a number of factors including the reserved seats ratio, medical fitness and verification of documents.
