The pre-draft of the National Curriculum Framework for School Education (NCFSE) has announced the removal of Environmental Studies (EVS) from the school curriculum. The subject will be replaced with 'World Around Us' informal activities in classes III to V. Educators are concerned that removing EVS will deprive students of important knowledge about climate and pollution control.
