The reliance foundation has selected 5,000 first-year undergraduate students for the reliance foundation scholarship for the academic year 2022-23.

The selected students will receive Rs 2 lakh during their course of study. The foundation was established last year to provide 50,000 scholarships over the next ten years. Applicants can check their results on the official website of reliance foundation at reliancefoundation.org. The foundation received approximately 40,000 applications nationwide, of which 5,000 were selected. The selected candidates are from twenty-seven states and union territories. As per the official notice, out of the selected candidates, 51 per cent are women students. Further, 99 students selected for this scholarship are disabled students. The selected students are from 4,984 educational institutions across the country. The scholarships are awarded on merit-cum-means basis to students. The applicant can pursue any stream or field of study. The selection process included an aptitude test and marks secured in Class 12. The selected students will receive information about the scholarship details directly from the foundation. Jagannatha Kumar, CEO of reliance foundation, commented, “This is a diverse group of scholars as they are from varying disciplines of study, from nearly all the states of India and with girls and boys being equally represented.”
