She said it was hurtful to hear such false and harmful rumors about women in the industry.

“I am completely apolitical and have no connection with any person or political party. I request that my name not be used in a negative way for political gain,” she wrote.​

She also added, “Artists and creative people should be kept out of political battles, and their names shouldn’t be used to make headlines with fake stories”.​
