The Local Self-Government Department in Rajasthan, with Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot's approval, is set to recruit over 11,000 sanitation workers in 187 urban local bodies. This move is in addition to the ongoing recruitment of 13,000 sanitation workers. The recruitment follows the Rajasthan Municipal (Sweepers Service) Rules, 2012. Candidates who have already applied need not reapply, but new applicants can submit their applications. The increased vacancies are expected to draw more applicants, possibly leading to a delay in document verification. The selection process includes interviews, practical assessments, and document verification.
