Rajasthan High Court: In multiple writ petitions questioning the NEET (UG)-2024 Examination, a single-judge bench of Ashok Kumar Jain, J., adjourned the matter to 10-07-2024, with instructions for the respondents, Union of India and National Testing Agency (NTA), to file their replies before the next hearing.
Due to the common nature of these petitions, the Court tagged the petitions together for joint consideration and directed them to be listed together in the future. The respondent’s counsel for NTA and Union of India have accepted the notice in all writ petitions and has requested time to file an appropriate reply.
The Court inquired about the transfer petitions filed by the NTA before the Supreme Court and order dated 20-06-2024, which stayed the proceedings in Transfer Petitions. The counsel informed the Court that no stay was sought on the proceedings of these petitions.
While considering the order dated 20-06-2024, the Court found it appropriate to adjourn the matters until 08-07-2024, when related pending matters will be heard before the Supreme Court. The Court directed the respondents to file appropriate replies by the next hearing date, i.e., 10-07-2024, and serve copies to the counsel for the petitioners.
