The Rajasthan High Court disposed of a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) filed seeking directions for banning broadcasting of certain songs, which seek to exaggerate certain reported incidents of use of firearm and shooting in the Court premises and also in the Court room.

According to the petitioner such kind of videos are inciting violence and provoking public at large. The PIL has been by one Rakesh Choudhary.

“If that be the allegation, at this stage, the petitioner is required to approach the concerned police authorities by placing the material, which has been placed before this Court and seek their intervention”, the Bench observed.

The Division Bench of Justice Manindra Mohan Shrivastava and Justice Praveer Bhatnagar was not inclined to keep the petition pending at this stage.
Accordingly, the petition is disposed of by the High Court with the liberty to the petitioner to approach police authorities.
