The Joint Action Committee (JAC) of educationists in Punjab has accused the state's Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government of damaging the education network in the state. The JAC has requested a debate with Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann on the state’s higher education system; they have also stated they will make education a political issue ahead of the Jalandhar Lok Sabha bye-elections. The JAC is made up of aided colleges managements, principals associations of three state universities, Punjab Chandigarh Colleges Teachers Union (PCCTU), and managements of unaided colleges.
