1 Prime Minister Narendra Modi laid the foundation stone of development projects worth Rs 7,500 crore in Shirdi
Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi inaugurated , dedicated to the nation and laid the foundation stone of several development projects worth about Rs 7500 crore in sectors like health, rail, roads, oil and gas in Shirdi, Ahmednagar, Maharashtra . Various development projects include AYUSH Hospital at Ahmednagar Civil Hospital; Electrification of Kurduvadi-Latur Road Railway section (186 km); the third and fourth railway lines (24.46 km) connecting Jalgaon to Bhusaval; Four-laning of Sangli to Borgaon section of NH-166 (Package-I); and additional facilities at Indian Oil Corporation Limited’s Manmad terminal. He laid the foundation stone of Maternal and Child Health Wing in Ahmednagar Civil Hospital. Shri Modi also distributed Ayushman cards and ownership cards to the beneficiaries.
2 Colorful inauguration of 37th National Games in Goa
Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi inaugurated the 37th National Games at the Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Margao, Goa . The Games will be held from October 26 to November 9 and more than 10,000 athletes from across the country will participate in it. These players will compete in 43 sports at 28 venues. National Games are being organized for the first time in Goa. The mascot of the 37th National Games is ‘ Moga ‘. ‘Moga’ is a bison that represents the unique identity of Goa.
3 Prime Minister invited to participate in the consecration program of Ram temple in Ayodhya
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has received a formal invitation to participate in the consecration program of Ram temple in Ayodhya on 22 January . Officials of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust met him at the Prime Minister’s residence in New Delhi and invited him to participate in the program. In a social media post, Shri Modi said that he felt fortunate to have received the invitation to be a part of this historic occasion. 4 Self-reliance: Petroleum and Natural Gas Minister Hardeep Singh Puri handed over India’s first indigenous reference fuel to the country.
Petroleum and Natural Gas Minister Hardeep Singh Puri launched India’s first indigenous reference fuel in New Delhi . On this occasion, he said that this is an important step towards self-reliance in the fuel and energy sector. Shri Puri also said that by introducing reference fuel, India has joined the exclusive club of reference fuel manufacturers and it is at par with international standards. Indian Oil has successfully started production of reference gasoline and diesel fuel for the first time in India . These fuels are used by automobile manufacturers and testing agencies like ICAT (International Center for Automotive Technology) and ARAI (Automotive Research Association of India) for vehicle calibration and testing . Earlier, India used to import this fuel exclusively from other countries.
5 Uttarakhand: Two-day Country Lead Initiative organized at Forest Research Institute, Dehradun
Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change is organizing the ‘ Country Led Initiative ‘ (CLI) program as a part of the United Nations Forum on Forests (UNFF ) at Forest Research Institute (FRI), Dehradun (Uttarakhand) from 26 to 28 October, 2023. More than 70 representatives from nearly 40 countries and 20 international organizations are participating both in-person and online in this Country Led Initiative to discuss wildfire and forest certification. It is expected that the meeting will produce an implementable framework and recommendations for forest fire management and forest certification that will promote sustainable forest management. The recommendations will be discussed in the 19th session of the This program is a part of the United Nations Platform on Forests. CLI The primary goal of the UN is to contribute to the discussion of the UN Forum on Forests in relation to sustainable forest management and the implementation of the UN Strategic Plan for Forests.
6 Nationwide ‘Vikas Bharat Sankalp Yatra’ will start from 15th November, will start from Khunti district of Jharkhand
The Central Government is going to launch a nationwide public relations and awareness campaign ‘ Vikas Bharat Sankalp Yatra ‘ from 15th November . Prime Minister Narendra Modi will launch it on the occasion of ‘ Birsa Munda Jayanti: Tribal Pride Day ‘. According to Information and Broadcasting Secretary Apoorva Chandra , it will start from Khunti district of Jharkhand , in which the remaining districts across the country will be covered from 22 November 2023 to 25 January 2024 . Due to the upcoming assembly elections in Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Telangana and Mizoram, this journey will be started later in these states. This plan of Vikas Bharat Sankalp Yatra has been made to spread awareness among the people and ensure public participation in developmental and welfare schemes in order to achieve the goal of making the country a developed country by 2047 . During the visit, key features of 20 schemes including Jal Jeevan Mission, Ayushman Bharat Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojana, Jan-Dhan Yojana, PM Awas Yojana, PM Pranam Yojana and Urea Subsidy Scheme will be showcased.
7 Film actor Rajkumar Rao was made the national icon of the Election Commission, young voters will get inspiration.
The Election Commission is launching a drive to update voter lists. In this, more attention will be given especially to future young voters. This campaign will not be held in those five states where assembly elections are to be held this year. After film actor Rajkumar Rao was appointed as the national icon of the Election Commission, Chief Election Commissioner Rajiv Kumar said that youth above 17 years of age can apply to get their names registered in the voter list. The Chief Election Commissioner said that the voter list will be updated every quarter and youth who have completed 18 years of age can register their names in the next quarter. Shri Rajiv Kumar said that this year the number of voters in the country will increase to more than 95 crores, which is four times more than in the year 1962.
8 Government approves certification scheme for unmanned aircraft systems
The Civil Aviation Ministry has said that it has notified the Certification Scheme for Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) in the Official Gazette on January 26 this year and all manufacturers are required to comply with the standards under the scheme. . The ministry said that rules related to drones are applicable under the Drone Rules-2021 and its subsequent amendments notified by the ministry. These amendments are effective from August 25. These rules apply to all persons who are registered in India. The ministry said that till now 32 UAS have been deployed. The models have been certified under this scheme.
9 Dark Pattern Buster Hackathon: Starting 2023
The Ministry of Consumer Affairs has launched Dark Pattern Buster Hackathon: 2023 to prevent unfair practices adopted by e-commerce platforms and provide simple solutions to the consumers . Consumer Affairs Secretary Rohit Kumar Singh and Special Secretary Nidhi Khare jointly launched it in New Delhi . Dark patterns are a form of fraud that allows consumers to be deceived through misleading information. Consumer Ministry has invited technical institutes and experts related to information technology to participate in the Dark Pattern Buster Hackathon.
10 Red light on vehicle off campaign started in Delhi
Red Light on Vehicle Off campaign was launched by Delhi Government to control pollution in the capital . The campaign was started by Delhi Government’s Environment Minister Gopal Rai from ITO intersection. On this occasion, he said that the government is working on 15 points to reduce pollution in Delhi by making a winter action plan. Shri Rai said that if the people of the capital follow this campaign completely, then vehicle pollution inside Delhi can be reduced by 15 to 20 percent.
11 RBI asks private banks and foreign banks to ensure two whole-time directors
The Reserve Bank of India-RBI has asked private banks and wholly owned subsidiaries of foreign banks to ensure at least two whole-time directors, including the managing director and chief executive officer, on their boards to facilitate succession planning . In an official note, RBI It has said that the number of whole-time directors will be decided by the board of the bank taking into account the size of operations, business complexity and other relevant aspects. The Reserve Bank of India has directed banks which do not currently meet this requirement to submit proposals for appointment of whole-time directors within a period of four months from the date of issue of the circular under the Banking Regulation Act, 1949 .

15 Regional Connectivity Service – UDAN completes 6 successful years
Regional Connectivity Scheme (RCS) – UDAN (Ude Desh Ka Aam Nagrik) , a government-supported initiative to improve infrastructure and connectivity in India, especially in remote and underserved areas, has completed six successful years. It is an important component of India’s National Civil Aviation Policy (NCAP) 2016 , which was launched by the Ministry of Civil Aviation (MoCA) on 21 October 2016 with a 10-year vision . The first Regional Connectivity Scheme (RCS) – UDAN connecting Shimla to Delhi was inaugurated by Honorable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi on 27 April, 2017 . The scheme focuses on improving unserved air routes in underserved areas of the country and meeting the aspirations of common citizens. Till date, Regional Connectivity Scheme (RCS) – UDAN has facilitated movement of more than 130 lakh passengers, demonstrating its success in increasing the reach of air travel. Various versions of the UDAN scheme were launched over a period of last 6 years, as follows: UDAN 1.0 : 128 flight routes to 70 airports (including 36 newly created operational airports) were awarded to 5 airlines. UDAN 2.0 : 73 underserved and unserved airports announced and helipads added for the first time. UDAN 3.0 : Tourism routes included in coordination with the Ministry of Tourism. Apart from seaplanes to connect water aerodromes, several routes in the north-eastern region were included within the scope of this scheme. Udan 4.0 : Promotion given to north-eastern regions, hill states and islands. Operation of helicopters and seaplanes was included. Flight Version 5 – 5.0, 5.1 and 5.2

17 Government to invest ₹30,000 crore to expand crop insurance portal coverage
The government has announced plans to allocate ₹30,000 crore to expand the Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana portal , expanding insurance coverage to include a wide range of agricultural assets beyond crops. The primary objective of this initiative is to transform PMFBY into a comprehensive platform that will extend additional insurance coverage to crops covering a wide range of agricultural assets such as ponds, tractors, livestock and palm trees.
18 Agreement between China and Bhutan to resolve border disputes
China and Bhutan are working towards resolving their long-standing border disputes . Bhutan’s foreign minister visited Beijing for talks with his Chinese counterpart, a sign of progress in the dialogue process. China has disputes with only two of its 14 neighboring countries – India and Bhutan. There have been border disputes between Bhutan and China since the 1980s, particularly in areas such as Jakarlung, Passamlung and Doklam.

20 MeitY urges RBI to design more detailed KYC to ensure traceability
Illegal instant loan apps have become a significant problem in India, leading to financial scams and even driving some victims to commit suicide. These apps provide quick money but compromise the privacy and security of the users. To address this, the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) in India has proposed a solution. MeitY suggested creating a detailed KYC (Know Your Customer) process for companies called KYDFA (Know Your Digital Finance App). This is similar to the KYC process for bank accounts. KYDFA ensures that only legitimate financial apps that comply with the law can use the Indian banking system. It helps in detecting illegal apps and taking legal action against them.
