The Prime Minister dedicated to the nation the Sudarshan Bridge connecting Okha mainland and Bet Dwarka , the pipeline project at Vadinar and Rajkot-Okha, the Rajkot-Jetalsar-Somnath and Jetalsar-Wansjaliya rail electrification projects. Prime Minister Narendra Modi dedicated to the nation Sudarshan Setu, the signature bridge connecting Okha and Bet Dwarka in Dwarka, Gujarat. The length of this bridge is approximately two kilometers and 320 meters and it is the longest cable bridge in the country. The Prime Minister inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of projects worth more than Rs 4,150 crore. Sudarshan Setu is beautifully designed with footpaths on both sides decorated with verses from the Srimad Bhagavad Gita and images of Lord Krishna. Solar panels have also been installed on the upper parts of the footpath, which generate one megawatt of electricity. With this bridge, the travel distance of devotees between Dwarka and Bet Dwarka will also be reduced and traffic will become easier. Before reconstruction, pilgrims had to rely on boats to reach Bet Dwarka. This bridge will also be seen as a major tourist destination of Devbhoomi Dwarka.

Launching five new AIIMS in Rajkot and several development projects worth more than Rs 48 thousand crore, the Prime Minister said that his government is making continuous efforts to improve the health infrastructure in the country. In an important step towards strengthening tertiary health care in the country, the Prime Minister inaugurated five All India Health Care Centers in Rajkot (Gujarat), Bathinda ( Punjab ), Rae Bareli ( Uttar Pradesh ), Kalyani ( West Bengal ) and Mangalagiri ( Andhra Pradesh ). Dedicated the Indian Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) to the nation. The Prime Minister laid the foundation stone of over 200 healthcare infrastructure projects worth over Rs 11,500 crore in 23 States/Union Territories and dedicated them to the nation. The Prime Minister dedicated a 300-bed satellite center of the Medical College of JIPMER at Karaikal in Puducherry and the Post Graduate Institute of Medical and Educational Research (PGIMER) at Sangrur in Punjab.
3 PM inaugurates two ‘AYUSH projects’ in Jhajjar and Pune
Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi today inaugurated two institutes of the Ministry of AYUSH through virtual medium , which will further improve the overall situation of healthcare in the country. He inaugurated the ‘Central Research Institute of Yoga and Naturopathy’ (CRIYN) at Jhajjar , Haryana and the National Institute of Naturopathy (NIN) – ‘Nisarga Gram’ at Pune , Maharashtra . The National Institute of Naturopathy (NIN) at Pune and the Central Research Institute of Yoga and Naturopathy (CRIYN) at Devarkhana village, Jhajjar represent significant achievements in promoting holistic healthcare through traditional health care systems.
4 India-Japan joint exercise ‘Dharma Guardian’ inaugurated in Rajasthan
The 5th edition of joint military exercise ‘ Dharma Guardian ‘ between the Indian Army and Japan Ground Self Defense Force began at Mahajan Field Firing Range in Rajasthan . This exercise is being organized from 25 February to 9 March 2024. Exercise ‘Dharma Guardian’ is an annual military exercise and is conducted alternately in India and Japan. The contingent of both the countries includes 40-40 soldiers. The Japanese contingent is being represented by soldiers of the 34th Infantry Regiment and the Indian Army contingent is being represented by a battalion of the Rajputana Rifles.
5 America imposed new sanctions on Russia
As the Russia-Ukraine conflict enters its second year in February 2024 , the US and the EU have jointly approved a comprehensive package of measures, including more than 500 new punitive measures, targeting Moscow for aggression that disturbs global peace. Additional restrictions have been announced. US sanctions cover a number of economic and strategic sectors such as the Russian financial network (Mir payment system), military supply chain, technology sector, future energy production and other areas. This is the largest single tranche of sanctions since the invasion.

Indian squash player Abhay Singh has won the Goodfellow Classic PSA Challenger Tour title in Toronto, Canada . In the final he defeated Elliot Morris Devred of Wales 3-0. With this win, the Asian Games gold medalist won her eighth PSA World Tour title.

India has won 14 medals including nine gold, four silver and one bronze at the Archery Asia Cup:2024 in Baghdad , Iraq . In the women’s individual recurve category, Deepika Kumari won the gold medal by defeating Simranjit Kaur. Dheeraj Bommadevara defeated Tarundeep Rai to win the men’s recurve archery title. India topped all the individual events as well as both the men’s and women’s compound events. In the women’s category, Preneet Kaur won the gold medal by defeating Fatemeh Hemmati of Iran 138-135. Whereas in the men’s category, Prathamesh Javakar won the gold medal by defeating Kushal Dalal 146-144. The women’s recurve team of Simranjit Kaur, Deepika Kumari and Bhajan Kaur won the gold medal by defeating Uzbekistan 5-4 in a thrilling shootout in the final. The trio of Dheeraj Bommadevara, Praveen Ramesh Jadhav and Tarundeep Rai won the gold medal by defeating Bangladesh 6-2.
