1 President Draupadi Murmu visits Siachen Base Camp in Ladakh
President Draupadi Murmu visited Siachen Base Camp in Ladakh and interacted with the soldiers and officers deployed at Siachen Glacier. Addressing the soldiers, Smt. Murmu praised their bravery in protecting the nation in challenging and extreme conditions. She also expressed gratitude to the families and relatives of the soldiers deployed there. She paid homage to the martyrs by laying a wreath at the Siachen Base War Memorial. Smt. Murmu is the third President to visit Siachen Glacier after former Presidents Dr. Abdul Kalam and Ram Nath Kovind . Siachen Glacier, located in the Karakoram Range, is the highest militarized area in the world and has been guarded by the Indian Army since Operation Meghdoot in April 1984 .
2. PARAM Rudra Supercomputing System and a High Performance Computing System for Weather and Climate launched
Prime Minister Narendra Modi dedicated three Param Rudra supercomputers to the nation through video conferencing in Pune . Mr Modi also launched a high-performance computing-HPC system designed for weather and climate research . He said that Indian scientists and engineers have built three Param Rudra supercomputers. These supercomputers have been installed in Delhi , Pune and Kolkata . Today itself, ‘ Arka ‘ and ‘ Arunika ‘ 2 high-performance computing systems have also been inaugurated. The Prime Minister congratulated the country’s scientific community, engineers and all the countrymen for this. Param Rudra supercomputers built with indigenous technology have been prepared under India’s National Supercomputing Mission (NSM). Their cost has come to Rs 130 crore. National Supercomputing Mission was started in 2015. PM said that the names Arka and Arunika are related to the Sun. The Rs 850 crore high-performance computing system designed for weather and climate research was installed at the Indian Institute of Tropical Meteorology in Pune and the National Medium Range Weather Forecasting Center in Noida.
3 India got a big responsibility, India was selected for the fifteen member Globe Steering Committee
India has been elected to the fifteen-member Globe Steering Committee. This decision was taken during the plenary session held on Thursday in the Chinese capital Beijing . As a member of the Steering Committee, India will play an important role in shaping the global agenda against corruption and asset recovery . The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) gave this information in a statement issued on Thursday. The Globe Network is an important platform for international cooperation and India’s participation will strengthen its efforts to combat cross-border financial crimes and corruption. The Global Operational Network of Anti-Corruption Law Enforcement Authorities (Globe Network) was a G20 initiative. India supported this initiative in 2020. The Globe Network was officially launched on 3 June 2021 during a special event at the Special Session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGASA) against corruption. The Globe Network now has 121 member countries and 219 member authorities. Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) is the central authority for the GLOBE Network and Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) and Directorate of Enforcement (ED) are the member authorities of the network from India.
4 UP, MP, Rajasthan top in Dalit atrocities: Report
The condition of Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh is bad in the case of atrocities on Dalits and tribals . Uttar Pradesh is at the top in the registered cases of atrocities on Scheduled Castes , but Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh are at second and third place . This has been revealed in the latest report of the Central Social Justice and Empowerment Department on the data of 2022. Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan are also at second and third place in cases of tribal atrocities. The ministry releases this annual report under the provisions of the Scheduled Castes-Tribes Atrocities Prevention Act. The report states that 97.7 percent of the cases of SC atrocities are in 13 states of the country, while about 99 percent of the cases of tribal atrocities are concentrated in 13 states. According to the report, there has been a decline in the cases of punishment from the court under the SC-ST Atrocities Prevention Act. In the year 2022, only 32.4 percent of the cases were punished, whereas in 2020 this figure was 39.2 percent. This trend has been considered worrying in the report. The report states that charge sheets were filed in 60.38 percent of cases related to atrocities on SCs, while in 14.78 percent of cases, the police filed a final report (FR) due to false claims or lack of evidence. Charge sheets were filed in 63.32 percent of cases related to STs, while FR was filed in 14.71 percent of cases.

This list includes 150 entrepreneurs under the age of 35. Isha is the non-executive director of Reliance Retail and daughter of Mukesh Ambani . Parita Parekh is the founder of teaching and learning platform Toddle . Physics Wala’s founder and teacher Alakh Pandey is also included in this list. ShareChat’s Ankush Sachdeva and Reliance Jio’s Akash Ambani (31 years) have been included as the youngest individual entrepreneurs. 82% of the entrepreneurs included in this report of Hurun India are self-made. The list includes 7 other women entrepreneurs including Aneeri Patel, Anisha Tiwari and Anjali Merchant, who are 33 or 34 years old. All of them are on top among women leaders who continue their family business. 34-year-old Saloni Anand, owner of Tria Health, is also in the list. Apart from this, Ghazal Alagh, owner of Mama Earth, is also named in the list. Bangalore has the highest number of 29 people and Mumbai has 26 people.
6 Justice Kait became the 28th Chief Justice of MP
On 25 September, Justice Suresh Kumar Kait was sworn in as the 28th Chief Justice of Madhya Pradesh . Governor Mangubhai Patel administered the oath to him at a function held at the Raj Bhavan. Justice Kait hails from Kaithal district in Haryana . His tenure as Chief Justice of Madhya Pradesh will be 6 months. The Supreme Court Collegium headed by CJI DY Chandrachud had recommended his name for the post of Chief Justice of Madhya Pradesh on 17 September.
7 MS Ramachandra Rao became the Chief Justice of Jharkhand
On 25 September, Justice MS Ramachandra Rao was sworn in as the new Chief Justice of Jharkhand High Court . Earlier, he was serving as the Chief Justice of Himachal Pradesh High Court . He became the 16th Chief Justice of the state. The post of Chief Justice was vacant in Jharkhand since 19 December 2023. Justice Sujit Narayan Prasad was working as Acting Chief Justice.

53 medicines including paracetamol have failed the quality test conducted by India’s drug regulator . These include vitamins, sugar and blood pressure medicines as well as antibiotics . The country’s largest drug regulatory body Central Drugs Standard Control Organization (CDSCO) has released its list on September 25. NSQ alerts are generated from random monthly sampling done by state drug officers. Vitamin C and D3 tablets Shelcal, Vitamin B complex and Vitamin C softgel, antacid Pan-D, Paracetamol tablet IP 500 mg, anti-diabetic medicine Glimepiride, high blood pressure medicine Telmisartan and many other medicines are among those 53 most sold medicines.
9 The central government has announced an increase in the minimum wage rates by revising the dearness allowance
The Central Government has announced an increase in the minimum wage rates by revising the dearness allowance . The new wage rates will come into effect from October 1 next month. The minimum wage rates have been classified as unskilled, semi-skilled, skilled and highly skilled , according to category and different geographical areas. After this revision , the minimum wage rates for unskilled workers will be Rs 783 per day. The minimum wage for semi-skilled workers will be Rs 868 per day, and the minimum wage for skilled workers will be Rs 954 per day. The revised wage for highly skilled workers will be Rs 1,035 per day.
