Chhattisgarh Governor Biswabhushan Harichandan and Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel were also present on the occasion. The President reached Raipur this morning on a two-day visit to Chhattisgarh. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has congratulated the scientists and engineers of the country on the commissioning of the third unit of Kakrapar Atomic Power Plant at full capacity. The largest indigenous nuclear power plant of 700 MW was completed. Kakrapar Atomic Power Plant (KAPP) Tapi district of Gujarat Located in. The first two units of this plant are based on Canadian technology, while its third unit is completely based on indigenous technology. In this plant, the construction of the first ‘Pressurized Heavy Water Reactor’ (PHWR) of 220 MW was authorized on 6 May 1993 and the construction of the second unit of 220 MW was authorized on 1 September 1995. Construction of KAPP began in 1984 and was commissioned on 6 May 1993.

After the military rebellion in the African country Gabon, army officers elected General Brice Olibui Nweima as the acting leader of the country on Wednesday. Earlier, General Nuima along with his soldiers took out a victory procession in the streets of the capital Libreville. Deposed President Alibongo appealed for support from across the world in a video message released from his home. Gabon, a former French colony, is one of Africa’s leading oil producing countries. In another development, the African Union has banned Gabon’s participation in all its activities after the military took power.

It is an organization that has played an important role in promoting the textile industry in South India. R. Of. Shanmugam Chetty was the first Finance Minister of independent India from 1947 to 1949 . He was an Indian lawyer, economist and politician.

Two world famous specialty products Bhadarwah Rajma and Ramban Sulai Honey have got the coveted GI tag in Jammu and Kashmir . Bhaderwah Rajma is also known as Red Beans . These two popular products have received this recognition at the international level. These products have got GI tag on the initiative of Agriculture and Welfare Department of Jammu. Now no third party can unauthorizedly trade these products. This tag will encourage the export of both these products as well as accelerate the socio-economic development of the region. Till now six agricultural products of Jammu Kashmir and Ladakh region have got GI tag. Kashmir’s Mushkabudji rice has got GI tag some time ago.

In a significant achievement, Nagaland has become the first state in the North Eastern region to start Aadhaar linked birth registration. This pioneering initiative aims to streamline birth registration by integrating Aadhaar enrollment for children up to 5 years of age Is. This initiative is expected to reach out to various social welfare schemes designed for the welfare of children. Nagaland Commissioner T. Mhabemo Yanathan urged the cooperation of the state government officials to ensure successful implementation of this initiative in all the districts of Nagaland. Colonel Abhishek Kaushik, Director, Unique Identification Authority of India, complimented the Nagaland government for taking the lead from the Northeast in implementing this initiative. He also appreciated the consistent efforts of the Nagaland Commissionerate’s office in providing Aadhaar linked services to the residents of the state. The Directorate of Economics and Statistics of Nagaland has collaborated with the Unique Identification Authority of India to extend the reach of this service to the residents of all districts. Nagaland was the first state to be carved out of Assam in 1963. It became the 16th state of India. The capital of Nagaland is Kohima.

Civil Aviation Minister Shri Jyotiraditya M. Scindia along with Minister of State for Civil Aviation Gen. Vijay Kumar Singh (Retd) inaugurated Utkela Airport and direct flight between Utkela and Bhubaneswar . This program was organized through video conferencing. Utkela Airport is owned by the Government of Odisha . It has been developed as a regional airport under the UDAN scheme of the Ministry of Civil Aviation, Government of India at a cost of Rs 31.07 crore. Utkela Airport’s runway (2,995 ft) is 917 meters long with a width of 30 metres. With the addition of Utkela airport, Odisha will now have five airports .

12 ASI to launch “Adopt a Heritage 2.0 Programme” Indian Heritage App and e-permission portal on 4th September 2023​

There are 3696 monuments under the protection of the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) , which are spread all over the country. These monuments not only showcase the rich cultural heritage of India but also play an important role in promoting economic development. To maintain the rich cultural heritage, heritage sites require enhancement of facilities from time to time. With this objective and to further enhance the visitor experience, ASI is organizing “ Adopt a Heritage 2.0” on 4th September 2023 at Samvet Auditorium, IGNCA, New Delhi.” program. Under this programme, ASI invites corporate stakeholders to enhance facilities at monuments using their CSR funds. This program is a revamped version of the previous scheme launched in 2017 and as per the AMASR Act 1958 Clearly defines the facilities desired for various monuments. Stakeholders can apply for adoption of specific facility/s at a monument or heritage site through a dedicated web portal with URL , containing details of monuments intended for adoption along with gap analysis and financial estimate of the facilities.

13 Agreement on marine management between America and Palau​

Recently the United States and the Western Pacific Ocean nation of the Republic of Palau signed an expanded bilateral law enforcement agreement to enhance marine management . The agreement gives the U.S. Coast Guard the authority to enforce maritime regulations on behalf of Palau in its exclusive economic zone (EEZ), even without the presence of Palau officials. This agreement will help raise awareness on maritime domain and prevent illegal, unreported and unregulated (IUU) fishing within Palau’s EEZ.

Recently Israel ‘s Defense Ministry and Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI) announced the flight of an intelligence aircraft, the name of this aircraft is – ORON ., ORON is an advanced intelligence aircraft. It is a Gulfstream G550 Aerospace equipped with state-of-the-art sensors, cameras, artificial intelligence and advanced Command, Control, Communications, Computers and Intelligence (C4I) systems. This enables it to rapidly locate targets in all weather conditions. ORON’s real-time surveillance capabilities will provide a larger amount of intelligence than unmanned aerial vehicles. It is a joint multi-domain, multi-sensor solution that will provide the IDF with game-changing capabilities to counter threats near and far. ORON will be operated by the Israeli Air Force’s Nachshon 122nd Squadron from Nevatim Air Base near Beer Sheva.

16 Rajasthan raises minimum wage and expands health insurance coverage​

Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has approved a hike in the minimum wage for laborers by Rs 26 per day with effect from January 1, 2023, a few months ahead of the state elections . This growth will benefit unskilled, semi-skilled, skilled and highly skilled workers. Additionally, the Chief Minister has expanded the scope of the Mukhyamantri Chiranjeevi Swasthya Bima Yojana to include employees and their families covered under the Employees’ State Insurance Scheme (ESI) , with free health insurance coverage of up to Rs 25 lakh. Other approved measures include financial sanction for development of e-registration project of the Registration and Stamps Department, upgrading of six government upper primary schools to higher secondary schools and creation of 78 new posts for these schools.

17 Assam’s longest Nilachal flyover inaugurated​

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma unveiled the 2.63-km long Neelachal Flyover, the state’s longest flyover , which connects Maligaon Chariyali to Kamakhya Gate in Guwahati . Built at a cost of ₹420.75 crore, the project is being developed by Shree Gautam Construction Company Limited and Anupam Nirman Pvt. Ltd. Completed within 35 months. The flyover addresses traffic congestion in Guwahati and aims to provide smooth commuting facilities for the residents of the area. Sarma thanked the public for their support during the construction and highlighted the collaborative efforts of various departments and firms. He also shared plans to develop more infrastructure including flyovers, bridges and a ropeway project connecting Kamakhya Railway Station to Maa Kamakhya Temple.

Hurricanes Idalia and Franklin , moving near the southeastern U.S. coast, have raised concerns about their possible interaction under the Fujiwara effect . This phenomenon occurs when two cyclones come close to each other and perform an intense “ rotational dance”.(rotational dance). Although these storms are not expected to collide, their close proximity has led to speculation about five possibilities for the Fujiwara effect, including absorption, merger, or even the formation of a supercyclone. Idalia is approaching Florida’s Gulf Coast as a Category 3 hurricane, with Franklin near Bermuda and forecast to parallel the US East Coast. Although a collision is unlikely, the Fujiwara effect could lead to unexpected intensification, altered trajectories and increased rainfall, as seen in previous interactions between cyclones.

20 Rajasthan’s Priyan Sen crowned Miss Earth India 2023​

It is celebrated as a tribute to the birth anniversary of Panini , an eminent Sanskrit scholar and grammarian. World Sanskrit Day is celebrated to understand the importance of Sanskrit language and promote its spread. Sanskrit is considered one of the oldest languages in the world. It is also the oldest language of India, and almost all the Vedas and Puranas are written in Sanskrit. World Sanskrit Day was celebrated for the first time in 1969 . Sanskrit is one of the 22 official languages included in the Eighth Schedule of the Indian Constitution . Tamil , Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam and Oriya Apart from this, 6 classical languages are also included. In the year 2010, Sanskrit was declared as the second official language of Uttarakhand. Everyone in Mattur village of Karnataka uses Sanskrit language colloquially.
