By applying engineering advancements, they have increased its shock resistance capacity by five times . CL-20 is one of the most explosive non-nuclear substances on Earth. It is believed. Its full name, Hexanitrohexaazaisowurtzitane, refers to its chemical structure. What sets it apart from other military explosives is its extraordinary energy output. Compared to commonly used explosives such as RDX and HMX, CL-20 has a higher energy output, making it suitable for military applications. CL-20 was initially synthesized at the Naval Air Weapons Station’s China Lake facility in California, US.
