The approval will provide an outlay of Rs 1650 crore for promotional (regional) exploration and Rs 1330 crore for detailed drilling in non-CIL fields. About 1300 sq km area will be covered under regional exploration and about 650 sq km area under detailed exploration.

Four Pumped Storage Projects with a total capacity of 7,350 MW under MoU Kalu – 1,150 MW, Savitri – 2,250 MW, Jalond – 2,400 MW and Kengadi – 1,550 MW are envisaged. Under the agreement, other renewable energy source projects will also be developed in the state. The MoU emphasizes on using pumped storage projects as an energy storage solution to help achieve the national objective of energy transition, i.e. 500 GW of renewable energy installed capacity by 2030 and net zero by 2070.

The Central Government has issued a gazette notification banning 14 commonly used Fixed Dose Combination (FDC) drugs for the treatment of cough, fever and infections . The ban, which comes into force with immediate effect, follows the recommendations of an expert committee appointed to assess the efficacy of these drug combinations. According to the Central Drugs Standard Control Organization (CDSCO), FDCs refer to products that contain one or more active ingredients that are used for a specific indication. The ban follows the recommendations of the Expert Committee and the Drugs Technical Advisory Board. The committee concluded that the banned FDCs lack medical relevance and may pose a risk to humans.
