The Prime Minister , Shri Narendra Modi, laid the foundation stone and dedicated development projects worth over Rs 24,300 crore in Bikaner , Rajasthan . The projects that were inaugurated include the six-lane greenfield expressway section of the Amritsar-Jamnagar Economic Corridor , constructed at a cost of about Rs 11,125 crore ; Phase-I of the Inter-State Transmission Line of the Green Energy Corridor at a cost of about Rs.10,950 crore ; Bhiwadi transmission line developed by Bikaner Power Grid at a cost of about Rs 1,340 crore and 30-bed facility at Bikaner Employees’ State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) Hospital. The Prime Minister also laid the foundation stone for the redevelopment of Bikaner Railway Station and doubling of the 43-km Churu-Ratangarh section rail-line at a cost of about Rs 450 crore. The Prime Minister dedicated to the nation the six-lane Greenfield Expressway section of the Amritsar-Jamnagar Economic Corridor. The over 500 km stretch, stretching from Jakhadawali village in Hanumangarh district to Khetlawas village in Jalore district in Rajasthan, has been constructed at a cost of around Rs 11,125 crore.

The development works also include 176 km of national highway projects worth over Rs 5,550 crore and a railway manufacturing unit to be developed at Kazipet at a cost of over Rs 500 crore.

Pilot project of Antyodaya Shramik Suraksha Yojana started​

Minister of State for Communications Devu Singh Chouhan and Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel launched the pilot project of Antyodaya Shramik Suraksha Yojana at Nadiad in Kheda district . This scheme has been started by the Department of Posts and the Indian Postal Payment Bank . Its purpose is to provide accident insurance of up to ten lakh rupees to laborers. To ensure financial stability by providing On this occasion, Shri Chouhan said that Antyodaya Shramik Suraksha Yojana will be implemented across the country. This will benefit more than 28 crore workers. This scheme will be available through one lakh 60 thousand post offices in the country. Soon the benefits of the scheme will be made available to the common man as well. Shri Chouhan announced setting up of more than five thousand more post offices to make insurance benefits available to more and more people.

4 Election Commissioner of India Dr. Anoop Chandra Pandey on visit to Uzbekistan to observe Presidential Elections​

At the invitation of the Central Election Commission of Uzbekistan , Dr. Anoop Chandra Pandey, Election Commissioner of India is leading a three-member delegation to Uzbekistan to observe the conduct of the preliminary presidential election to be held on 9 July 2023. Four candidates including the current President are in the fray. The election is being held within the framework of the new constitution adopted in Uzbekistan following a referendum in April this year. The international community is closely watching this election.

5 NCC signs MoU with SBI to open zero balance accounts for all cadets​

In a major step towards promoting digitization and in line with the Digital India Mission , Raksha Mantri Shri Rajnath Singh launched an NCC Integrated Software on 07 July 2023 in New Delhi . NCC Integrated Software developed in partnership with Bhaskaracharya Institute for Space Applications and Geoinformatics (BISAG) is a single window interactive software designed on ‘ Entry to Exit Model ‘. , This will help in seamless issuance of certificates, creation of a pan India database of NCC cadets at the time of employment. During this programme, NCC and State Bank of India (SBI) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in the presence of Raksha Mantri for opening zero balance accounts of all NCC cadets with debit card, check book and passbook facility under SBI ‘s ” Pehli Udaan ” scheme. This MoU will benefit about 5 lakh cadets every year.

6 J&K launches India’s first chatbot for people suffering from mental distress​

The Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir has launched India’s first Tele-MANAS chatbot to initiate instant conversations with people in distress. The tele-psyche is a two-level system. Tier 1 consists of State Tele-Psych Cells consisting of trained counselors and mental health experts . District Mental Health Program (DMHP) / Medical College resources for physical counseling in Tier 2 and/or e-Sanjeevani for audio-visual counseling Are included. e-Sanjeevani is a national doctor-to-doctor telemedicine service that strives to provide an alternative to traditional physical consultations through digital platforms. It is an integrated part of Ayushman Bharat Digital Health Mission (ABDHM).

7 Ministry of Education releases report on Performance Grading Index 2.0 for States/UTs for the year 2021-22​

The Indian education system is one of the largest education systems in the world. The system has about 14.9 lakh schools, 95 lakh teachers and about 26.5 crore students from various socio-economic backgrounds . The Department of Literacy , Ministry of Education has come up with the School Education and Performance Grading Index (PGI) for States and Union Territories which assesses the performance of the school education system at the State/UT level by creating an index for comprehensive analysis. Union Territories was first released for the year 2017-18 and now up to the year 2020-21 . Performance Grading Index for 2021-22 – State Structure Revised and renamed as PGI 2.0 Has been done. The Performance Grading Index 2.0 structure consists of 1000 marks across 73 indicators , grouped into 2 categories , viz., Results, Governance Management (GM) . These categories are divided into 6 domains, namely, Learning Outcomes (LO), Access (A), Infrastructure and Facilities (IF), Equity (E), Governance Process (GP) and Teachers Education and Training (TE&T ). The Performance Grading Index 2.0 for the year 2021-22 has classified States/UTs into ten categories, i.e., the highest grade is Daksha , which is for a State/UT scoring more than 940 marks out of a total of 1000 marks. is for Lowest Grade Akanshi-3 Which is for score up to 460. In the PGI-2.0 report for the year 2021-22, there is no state in the top-5 categories in the overall ranking , while Punjab and Chandigarh have made it to the sixth category i.e. Prachesta-2 . Whereas, Gujarat, Kerala, Maharashtra, Delhi, Puducherry, Tamil Nadu (total six states) were in the seventh category i.e. Prachesta-3. Along with this, 13 states have made it to the eighth category of overall ranking i.e. Aspirational-1, including Andhra Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Goa, Haryana, Madhya Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, Rajasthan, Karnataka, Sikkim, West Bengal, Andaman and Nicobar, Lakshadweep , Daman and Dadar Nagar Haveli.

India continues to demonstrate its commitment to digital and sustainable business facilitation, as evidenced by its outstanding performance in the recently released Global Survey on Digital and Sustainable Business Facilitation of the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia Pacific (UNESCAP) It shows. The year 2023 survey covers over 140 economies and evaluates 60 trade facilitation measures. The Ministry of Railways has announced a reduction of 25 per cent in air-conditioned and special class fares of all trains including Vande Bharat . The decision has been taken in view of the passenger occupancy of these trains being less than 50 per cent during the last thirty days. The ministry ac It has been decided to give the responsibility of increasing the number of passengers in bogies and implementing the scheme of concession in fare to the Zonal Railways. This scheme includes A.C. with Anubhuti and Vistadam bogies. The facility and chair will be applicable to all vehicles and special class trains. The amount of concession will be subject to a maximum of 25 per cent of the basic fare. Reservation fee, superfast fee, GST etc. will be charged separately.

The draft Detailed Project Report of the Raxaul-Kathmandu cross-border railway project has been handed over to Nepal . After receiving suggestions from Nepal, India will hand over the final project report to the Government of Nepal. India’s Konkan Railway Corporation Limited is preparing the Detailed Project Report for this rail project. This project will connect the Indian border town of Raxaul (Bihar) with Kathmandu . For this, India had signed an agreement with Nepal on October 8, 2021 . 32 thousand crore rupees for the construction of this broad gauge rail line with the initial report of Konkan Railway May need it. 13 NGT imposes penalty on States and Union Territories​

14 armed police personnel deployed for the security of Simlipal Tiger Reserve (STR)​

According to United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD)World Investment Report 2023 (WIR 2023): Investing in Sustainable Energy for All ”, Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) in developing countries in Asia remained unchanged at US$ 662 billion . India and the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) were the top gainers with growth of 10% and 5% respectively . Asia accounts for more than 50% of global FDI. FDI growth in developing countries was shared unevenly and most of the growth was concentrated in a few large emerging economies. India was one of the five economies that accounted for about 80 per cent of FDI inflows in this sector. The other four economies were China, Singapore, Hong Kong (China) and the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
