Abhinandan Panda, a 39-year-old PhD scholar of electrical engineering at IIT Bhubaneswar, died on Tuesday evening after being run over by a hydra crane inside the campus. The incident happened when Panda was preparing to leave the campus after completing his work. The driver of the hydra crane is absconding, and police have started an investigation into the matter after registering a case.
