The 'One State, One Uniform' policy will be implemented in all government schools in Maharashtra from the academic year 2024-25. Students will receive two sets of uniforms, with male students wearing sky blue shirts and dark sky blue pants, and female students wearing sky blue shirts with skirts or salwars. The uniforms will be similar to a scout and guide uniform and will be distributed on the first day of the next academic year. The government spends Rs 600 per student on uniforms, and this year Rs 75.60 crore was allocated for free uniforms.
