The Odisha government has sanctioned Rs 2.49 crore for rebuilding Bahanaga High School, which was used as a temporary morgue after the June 2 train accident. A portion of the school was razed recently. The fund has been sanctioned from Chief Minister’s Relief Fund, Odisha. Earlier, the district collector was asked to submit a detailed project on constructing a new school building as a model school under the 5T initiative of the government. The school opened on Wednesday after the summer vacation, with only 112 students present of the total 556 studying in Class I to X.
