Dipti Ranjan Sahoo, an Odia researcher and IIT Delhi professor, has been awarded the prestigious Shanti Swarup Bhatnagar Prize for science and technology for the year 2022. Sahoo, who specializes in structural engineering, will receive the prize in the engineering sciences category along with Rajnish Kumar from IIT Madras. He has published numerous research articles in the field of earthquake and structural fire engineering and holds five patents on earthquake vibration control devices.
