Nuh Violence: Interim bail granted to Congress MLA Mamman Khan in two cases

A court in NUH has granted Interim bail to the Congress MLA Mamman Khan who was arrested last month in connection with July 31 Nuh violence.

As per the available news,the interim bail has been granted to Khan only till October 18, which is the next date of hearing.

There were four FIRs which were registered against Khan.Out of the four FIR, bail has been granted in two cases on Saturday.It is quite likely that he may be released today.

The interim bail was granted to MLA Khan by the Additional District and Sessions Judge Ajay Sharma.

Khan was granted interim bail in two pending cases in FIR number 137 and 148 registered at the Nagina police station.

As per the police report, the MLA from Ferozpur Jhirka was accused of provoking people and inciting violence and was arrested on September 15.

The media reports suggest that during a religious procession carried out by Bajrang Dal and the Vishwa Hindu Parishad, a mob of muslim youth started pelting stones which led to communal violence.

This news of stone pelting in an area was soon Followed by violence spread across the Muslim-dominated district of Nuh.

The violence did not end here and stone pelting began in parts of Sohna, Gurugram, Faridabad, and Palwal.

The violence saw protestors setting shops ablaze and blocking the road and dozens of vehicles
