The National Testing Agency (NTA) announced a reduction in the number of top NEET-UG rankers from 67 to 61 after withdrawing grace marks awarded to 1,563 students. These candidates, including six from a Haryana center, shared the top rank with 61 others. The Supreme Court, addressing the NEET-UG controversy, ruled that admissions will proceed as scheduled but remain subject to pending litigation outcomes. Candidates have the option to retake the exam or forgo the compensatory marks.
