NTA issues certain guidelines to be followed while appearing for NEET UG 2024

The National Testing Agency (NTA) will conduct the National Entrance cum Eligibility Test for Undergraduates 2024 (NEET UG 2024) on May 5, 2024. In addition to bring the NEET UG hall ticket at the exam center, the NTA has issued a series of instructions for the day of the exam.

The list of items, candidates are allowed and not allowed to bring into the examination hall are as follows. Additionally, those taking the NEET UG must adhere to a specified dress code.

Candidates are instructed to follow the following dress code while appearing for the examination :-

  • A candidate shouldn’t wear long sleeves or heavy clothes
  • Shoes are not allowed to wear, however can candidate can wear slippers and sandals with low heels

NTA has announced that candidates who are wearing customary, cultural, or religious items should arrive at the examination center by 12:30 pm. This early arrival ensures that there is ample time for a thorough security check to be conducted smoothly and respectfully, without causing any inconvenience to the candidates while upholding the sanctity of the examination.

The examination authorities further stated that if screening reveals a candidate is concealing a suspicious device within a religious or cultural item, they may be prohibited from bringing it into the examination hall.

NEET UG 2024: Prohibited Items Candidates are not permitted to bring the following items into the NEET examination hall:

  • Instruments
  • Geometry or pencil boxes
  • Handbags or purses

Candidates are not allowed to bring any of the following items into the NEET examination hall:

  • All types of paper, stationery, or textual materials, whether printed or handwritten.
  • Any eatables, whether loose or packed. However, candidates with diabetes may bring sugar tablets, fruits (such as bananas, apples, or oranges), and transparent water bottles after giving prior notice. Packed foods like chocolates, candies, or sandwiches are not permitted.
  • Water bottles, unless transparent and previously approved for diabetic candidates.
  • Electronic and communication devices including mobile phones, earphones, microphones, pagers, calculators, docu pens, slide rules, log tables, cameras, tape recorders, and electronic watches with calculator functions.
  • Any metallic items or other electronic gadgets or devices.

NEET UG 2024: Items to Bring

  • NEET UG admit card with a passport-size photograph attached.
  • One passport-size photograph to be attached to the attendance sheet.
  • A valid original identity proof
  • PwBD certificate, if applicable.
  • One postcard size (4”x6”) color photograph with a white background to be affixed on the proforma that comes with the admit card. This should be handed to the invigilator at the exam center.

NEET UG hall tickets are available on the NTA official website at exam.nta.nic.in. Medical aspirants should affix their latest postcard-sized color photograph to the NEET UG admit card before arriving at the exam center. The admit card for NEET 2024 UG also includes a self-declaration form that must be completed.
