The National Testing Agency (NTA) has officially released the schedule for the re-examination of the University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test (UGC NET) for June 2024. The re-exams will be conducted from August 21, 2024, to September 4, 2024, in a computer-based test (CBT) mode, according to a notification from the agency.

Candidates can access the subject-wise re-examination schedule on the official NTA website, [ ]. The schedule outlines specific dates and times for each subject, allowing candidates to better organise their study plans. The NTA also announced that city intimation slips, detailing exam centre locations, will be available on the website 10 days prior to the exam. Admit cards will be released subsequently.

The re-examination comes after the initial UGC NET June 2024 test, conducted on June 18, 2024, was cancelled due to concerns over the exam’s integrity. Following a security breach involving the leak of the question paper on the darknet, the exam was called off. The decision was based on inputs from the National Cyber Crime Threat Analytics Unit, which indicated potential compromises to the exam’s integrity.

The UGC NET June 2024 re-exam will cover 83 subjects and will be conducted in two shifts each day: the first from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., and the second from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. This examination serves multiple purposes including awarding Junior Research Fellowships, appointing Assistant Professors, and admissions to Ph.D. programs.

To download the subject-wise exam schedule, candidates should follow these steps:

  1. Visit the official NTA website: [ ]
  2. Click on the examination schedule link available on the home page under public notice
  3. A new window will open with the subject-wise schedule displayed
  4. Download and save the schedule for future reference

For further details and updates, including the release of city intimation slips and admit cards, candidates are advised to regularly check the NTA websites [ ] and [ ]. For any queries, candidates can contact the NTA at 011-40759000 or email ugcnet@nta.ac.in.
